i was told by my iranian friends , many are not quietly reverting to zoroastrianism . there would be a new revlution, persian nationalism is on the way. islami is on the verge of collapse. in indonesia, many ofthem are strating to go back to hinduism as they believe its related to who they were. and there is also conversion to christianity . i think eventually, indonesia would have 40 % muslims, 30 percent christians and rest hindus. eventually islam will fade to being a minority religion at 20 percent in indonesia. malaysia will collapse in a matter of time. when the numbers of apostasy become higher and higher malaysia will have no choice. what i disapprove is propagation by any party. its very cheap and its common for islam and protestants to go in a very cheap way and targetting vulnerable groups and individuals. its not ethical.

Me too, I spent 20 years in Brunei (loved the country and loved the people) and understand Islam very well. So when I see some Muslim colleagues back here in New Zealand taking coffee at breaktimes during Ramadan I think What! But these Muslims mostly came to New Zealand from non-Muslim nations such as Fiji. Maybe they have lost the Islamic way I guess even though they are often high up in the local mosque!

Same here in singapore. They don't even know what is exactly being thaught in that crazy book. And even when you point it out to them about the contradictions that can be found in their own quran, they will still say that the way you translate it is wrong and the translations of all the other mulas, ustaz, scholars and teachers are correct although it's not the same translations. This is because that the followers has been indoctrinated since childhood with the severe punishments of hell that they will go through if they leave islam.

I have absolute similar reaction like Rosse when she found about Muslim leaving Islam (documentary in KZbin), I'll be happy to have a talk with her sometime as I'm from Malaysia. Thanks a lot brother Sameer. I always love your content, and your interviews with some ex-muslim guests. I think it is very relevant to bring them for the purpose of sharing the experiences and like showing to others that there are lots of Ex-Muslims on this world. For one thing, I believe belief is like sexuality (not in the sense of either can be chose or not) but in term of the importance and the relevance of it. In country like Malaysia, telling your religious family about you being gay is the most obnoxious thing ever, same goes to the feeling when you wanted to tell them about you having doubts or wanted to leave Islam. So the pain of living a double life here is almost the same, in my opinion.

Then they sat down and collected the good fish in baskets, but threw the bad away. This is how it will be at the end of the age. you know, I am a Muslim and know of Abdullah pre-Atheist days. His channel helped me question a lot. I stopped praying recently to figure this out to be honest. For years, I practiced these rituals, mostly out of fear. I've come to the conclusion that even though religious, I was spiritually empty. It was more important to do them than to not and the main driver was fear. I decided I do not want to live a life driven on fear. It's hard breaking out of this brainwashing. I want to engage in practices but from a space of love, if I choose to. I've noticed the Quran isn't clear on the amount of prayers but does mentioned praying and fasting, as most spiritual practices do engage in this. It's a hard realization that these Islamic scholars and preachers have taken many of us for a ride.

We , the Quraniyoon , reject the authencity of all Hadiths and "Shari'a rulings" and biographies / sayings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). We believe God gave us freewill and the only thing that is pre destined is our death and day of resurrection. So it is up to us to decide where we end up (ie. Heaven or Hell) based on our actions that we treat others in this world. We believe apostasy is fundamental human right and there is no such thing as Hell is reserved for non-muslims. We reject circumcision (as it is disfiguring God's creation) and we don't believe Mecca to be the site of the original pilgirmage (also, we believe God is everywhere anyway). We believe in 3 daily prayers with no restrictions or a set values of prostrations you need to do , and prayers should never be scripted with a set of codified laws to adhere to. We also believe we need to follow the Luni-solar calendar , hence our Ramadan is actually following the Full Harvest Moon cycle , which is 2nd to 10th October (as this year is a leap year) , so generally it's in September. It is a period of seclusion and remembering God , rather than taking lot's of food pictures and then trending it on social media. We reject the second coming of Isa (Christ) as it has no Quranic foundation at all , and we reject that there is a Qibla (Direction) that we need to face when praying. We , the Quraniyoon, are free from all superstitious dogma and rulings that makes no sense at all, such as Muslim aren't allowed to keep dogs or tattoos are forbidden , muslim men aren't allowed to weak Silk or women aren't allowed to shape their eyebrow , or Hijab is compulsory. Some of traditional Sunni Muslims practices come from Zoroastrians (Five daily prayers and way of ablution) , Christianity (Circumcision and second coming of Christ) and Hinduism. (newborn infant practices of reciting God's word in an infant years and shaving of the hair).

_Apostasy is not unlawful In Singapore_ . The Muslims there are free compared to their neighbour Malaysia. It has a Chinese majority run by mostly Chinese and will not tolerate radicalism. So if a Muslim feels subjugated in any way, they have the option to report or go directly to the Home Ministry and state your case. You cannot do that in Malaysia. There is no mandatory wearing of the hijab. Many go where they want, do what they want and dress as they want. Most are in the Geylang area. Muslims in Singapore are not in shackles because of the religion. If a Muslim is forced to wear a hijab, it's the parents who make them do it along with colleagues and peer pressure and the closed radical Muslim society. The authorities tell the mosques to tone down on the loud speakers - that will never happen in its neighbour. And fhs, the non-Muslims will never demand that you wear your hijab. That's too far-fetched. It's a fallacy. They will probably be happy that you are doing so, especially if you work with a non-Malay company. If you leave Islam in Malaysia then I can understand why you go through a nightmare. Too many restrictions in Islam - no this, no that, haram halal ( not just with F&B ) what you can and cannot wear, what you can do and cannot do especially for the women. Men are given a free pass. That is why Muslim women find it all claustrophobic and there will come a time when they cannot bear the do's and the don'ts. You're not free to even hold hands with your partner - the one you love. It is the Muslim community that reminds them to be chaste - not the government.

About fgm in Singapore - a lot of them are done hush-hush under the table by private Muslim-run clinics. These clinics would not openly advertise fgm online or in front of the clinic counter. You have to be Muslims and ask it personally at the counter about the service.
