Can‘t play the guitar, nevertheless it‘s very interesting. Very virtuos guitar playing just with the fingers, not using a Plektron. What is the band called that he‘s playing in? Or did you mention it and I didn‘t get it?

Wow . So expressive! Reminds me of an embarrassing anecdote. Circa 74 /75 I was in the 9th or 10th grade chasing Duane Allman slide licks. As you know isolation/blocking is a major challenge when articulating slide parts. Anywho....I found that if I played with my thumb and index, I was increasing my blocking and articulating improved 10 fold. So naturally I thought ..cool... Let's try it with a pick! The suck factor went way up! I credit this to Mel Bay! "This is a pick" " You hold it in this manner" Fast forward ... the magic of KZbin...I got to see Duane play those parts I chased live....never even heard of a pick! Actually I was closer than I thought.... Moral: Lisyen to your fingers.... Skrew Mel Bay!

How he gets the guitar to stay in tune with that type of bridge is beyond me. Anyone?
@Producelikeapro Жыл бұрын
The standard Gibson bridge? I have a few of them and don’t have tuning issues. Are you taking about something else?
@michaelpal7641 Жыл бұрын
@@Producelikeapro Thank you for your response-My LP Special came with the standard ABR bridge (Advanced Plating Inc stamped on the back) I then tried the bridge with the ridges (as on JJN's guitar) and finally settled on a tailpiece with saddles (forget the make-think I got it from Stew-Mac). All I remember is that with each Tail Piece (Standard or Ridged) I could not achieve proper intonation. Chords at the neck were ok. Chords barred moving up-were horribly out. Luthier told me the set screws had to be screwed in or out-which "made an indentation" on the posts as you screwed the tail piece in/out. I'd like to return it to original or even the ridged Tail Piece-but very hesitant. So you have similar Tail Piece? What is the height of your posts? Down to the body, middle, or high? Set screws- Are you moving the Tail Piece using these set screws? Any link you could point me to would be appreciated. Thanks again for your response.

@@Producelikeapro I had a Mojo Axe compensated (ridged tail piece)-no joy.
