Jess, get out NOW. One tranq wound means another will be on the horizon. It is boiling hot in Philly. Cmon! I believe you do not "know" anything when you are addicted. Your mind, even when not addicted, can convince you of things that are not true! Add hard drugs and your brain is no longer yours! Get help. Do not wait. 45 Days on those blazing hot streets = death or limb loss, rape, kidnapping, trauma. Please seek help. You are all just too good for this bullshi$. You can do it!!!

💯 ! You’re absolutely right! What you say is reflected in addiction neurobiology findings, from brain scans. It’s a fact, not a belief. People would say it’s a choice to use when you’re addicted is wrong. It’s bad advice to tell people to wait til they’re ready to quit, because the brain effects get worse the longer we use, not better. It gets harder to quit, the longer we do it. Same thing goes for waiting to hit rock bottom, because a lot of people don’t live that long. The only way it gets easier to quit is if your nerve receptors are so damaged the drugs don’t work anymore, which takes an extremely long time. These days, scientifically informed methods say the sooner you can drag yourself to treatment, the better. Especially with all the fentanyl, nitazines, and other deadly shyt going around. No cap. I’m in recovery from dope, and I learned this in my Master’s program. Keep saying that! People who have never been addicted take their healthy brain function for granted! Those who struggle with major mental illness, this is the same kind of situation, untreated. Besides, 95% of people in addiction treatment in my service area are taking medication for a major mental illness. I’d cite the source, but they’ll get rid of my comment. Not allowed.

Yes, I agree. And Jess, it doesn't "protect" you. I feel that's your drug brain talking, and getting off street drugs and thinking you will go back to using Xanax and Neurotin is a serious issue.

@@sciencenotsrigma Thank you. In helping a friend, I can see how a person who is addicted almost just needs to allow a trusted advocate to take the lead! These drugs leave no margin for pondering a time frame to seek help unfortunately. Pondering, considering, getting a few last hits in before going to rehab = Death. Honestly, limbs rotting off and then being addicted and wheelchair bound...I saw it with my own eyes in Kensington last week. My heart breaks for the broken-ness of so many of our brothers and sisters. Anyone who judges does not get it. These drugs are demonic. There is NO TIME TO THINK! JUST GO FOR HELP NOW! There is help there. Fight for your damn lives people! Ninja kick your demons in the ball$ NOW! Life can be filled with simple pleasures. Fight for you life!

Gone are the Pablo Escobar days. I can't even IMAGINE "experimenting" in today's world. Drugs = death. And you, my friend, are providing (for lack of a better word) a public service. These people are walking skeletons. My friend Louise was on heroin for years she died in her hostel room in 2023. She was like these people. Makes me sad to see. I've got to go for a liver Cirrhosis scan soon. My alt levels are high. Also I take codeine phosphate recreationally and drink. Slowly destroying my liver. And I'm 41. So I'm not really one to judge people.

Yes! She is so self aware and honest. A lot of us people from the streets would just say we’re from wherever. She cares about conveying who she is, specifically, and making those distinctions. That tells me she’s being real. ❤. I’m so glad this channel exists, so people get to know the people of Kensington as individuals, not “just addicts,” to use a more polite term than I was usually called out there! There are many beautiful individuals who are struggling with a deadly disorder, who deserve to live! I hope and pray for this young lady’s full recovery ❤️‍🩹. To those who are tired of hearing that, please be assured, that’s not all I do to try to be a part of the solution. People with the disease of addiction are a very worthy cause! ❤
