WOW Wonderful interview of a true musical genius of the Drum basis. Just love the Pommie accents. Had a great time in London in the late 60's---What an incredible city. From a 72yo Aussie fan.

Carnaby Street from the hey-day of Woodstock Generation and flower power and groovy fashions Like Earth tones and gothic raised on Stephen King and Anne Rice. The Serpentine Galleries Tate Museum, Hull Museum Mariners museum, Cornwall reminiscent of Cassis by the Sea. Art Nouveau brassieres or bullions in Montparnasse. Cheers Sir Kenny.

@xpat73 don't wanna stir it...or maybe I do? I think mac and him did struggle to get some of the stolen royalties back and ultimately he wanted to honor the memory of Ronnie Lane who didn t have the money to pay towards potential treatment when he was ill....I think the small faces did get phenomenally ripped off by Arden as well as all the other young musos in Britain...

He wasn't a good fit for the Who's LIVE shows -with having to play all the old hits as Keith played them, but he WAS what the Who needed at that time for their current records. Can you imagine Keith Moon trying to come up with a drum pattern to fit in "Eminence Front"? HA!! Kenny is great. And I'm a HUGE Moon fan.

No matter who took over the drum duties after Keith's passing would have not fit the bill. But looking back at the old concert footage and listing to the music when Kenny played, I dont say to myself, the drumming is off, or Kenny doesnt fit. He was rock solid and did a fantasic job for the Who during that period.

Famous pic of a very young 'debutante' Cat Stevens jumping on a pillar just outside Lord John... I think most of you have seen it.

I dont think Ronnie would give shit for a plaque to the guy who ripped oss his band! Still Kenny gets to have a nice day out.

Hi Exmouth. Interesting you should know Ronnie Lane from school days. Did you go on and become a mod like him? Have a look at my 60's videos. Cheers. Andy

This vid is 11 years old shows fashion hasn't evolved too much these days looking at shoppers in the background. Same old track suits jeans. How stylish Carnaby St. mods were back in the 60's....dictated the fashion for rest of the world to follow.

He looks great! Obviously his life was consumed by drugs and alcohol. Or at least he looks like he kept it together over the years.

I've always felt a bit dorry for Kenny because he was a good, solid drummer. however, in The Who he couldn't have been a more inapropriate choice. It seemed to have killed his career. He seems like a real nice guy and I hope he continues to play with success.

She says she can't believe Small Faces were popular in US cause they're a Brit band. Jaysus piss poor interviewer... do your homework...ever hear of British invasion in the 60's. Still play loads of Brit music here in Canada & US.

I love Kenney and i've been a life long SF fan but what's with the Don Arden arse kissing? He must have had his fingers crossed behind his back or been threatened by Sharon Osbourne's lawyers or something. Anything else I've ever read or heard from the other members made it clear that Arden was a total bastard and the Simon Cowell (or worse) of his day. To quote Arden in a recent book about Ronnie Lane (Can You Show Me a Dream?): "he was an evil little man with a massive head on his tiny body. He was nobody's friend". One of the only people to ever knock Ronnie and an indication of his nastiness.

He wasn't a great fit for the Who. Daltrey didn't like his playing. I think a better fit would have been the guy from the Police, although I don't think he was available in 79 or 80, or Martin Chambers, or believe it or not, the guy from Blondie, Clem Burke.
