Sure enough - I was a WW2 buff as a kid, and I had this game. It definitely affected and influenced me. I had completely forgotten about it for over 20 years. And I found your channel during lockdown only months ago. And here we are, meeting the designer of Axis and Allies. Wild. I also agree with your comment that a fascination with WW2 can often become the catalyst for a person to become broadly interested in all aspects of history. Brilliant interview.

Axis and allies 1914 is my favorite. Classic used to be, but I love the strategic decisions in 1914. Global 1940 is what i am playing most often though, but that is because no one wants to play 1914 with me... doesnt help my group knows if i am "taking it easy" on them, and I dominate as the central powers.
