I didn't expect a metaphysic discussion but you guys opened with an interesting point. I remember a French documentary on the evolution of man and religion was kind of described as something that appeared when the first humans (can't remember what species, maybe homo sapiens sapiens) realised what it meant to die (game over, no extra life) and needed to find some sense. I was already interested in the oncoming game but now even more than before.

So many awesome things were in Perfect Dark. Peace Sims that stole your guns, laptop sentry guns, an Alien sniper rifle that shot through walls, and it goes on. Everyone geeked and gushed over Goldeneye but Perfect Dark was so much more fun and dynamic in multiplayer. I even loved the single player campaign.

HARD facts right here. Best meal I ever had in my LIFE came out of a place that *used* to be a gas station, but got converted into a Mexican food joint that sold styrofoam plates of food by weight.

I Supported the Kickstarter for the wayward Realms, but i am also worried since Once Lost Games only prioritize first person gameplay. I know for a fact that rpgs that dont have third person or a hybrid with top down isometric like BG3, will not sell as many copies and be less popular. Obsidian have recently included third person with Avowed, one of the biggest upcoming open world rpgs.

Great video & interview! I ended up backing this Project. I have been playing the hell out of Daggerfall Unity lately. Ever since I got absorbed into it, I now regard it as the Greatest Elderscrolls game of all time with mods of course. Also we should reconnect again at some point. I know there was some bad blood, but it's all water under the bridge now. Daggerfall fans, were all connected.
@necronut5 ай бұрын
I would never call it bad blood. Minor disagreement, really. A temporary inconvenience in the grand scheme. No need to forgive what we've both already forgotten.

Its seems strange to hear "wayward" described as Shakespearean when its not that uncommon a word today.
@necronut4 ай бұрын
I'm fairly certain he was just describing "wayward" as "weird" to bring home the point that Wayward Realms is trying to think outside the box. I don't think he was trying to say "modern word is old".

Or just an individual's opinion from an individual's perspective... we could spend a giant portion of our days preloading every statement with "this is just my opinion, but..." and then going on with our opinions, or we could all just accept that literally everything everyone says is just an opinion unless receipts are produced. If I wanted to live in a homogenized society full of agreement... I'd move to North Korea... I guess. Anyway, may the rest of your summer be as pleasant as you are.

"We can't know truth" This can't be true without being self refuting. This is why I don't subscribe to epistemological nihilism. To my view some things are more than just "personal interpretations" some things are necessarily true or else it leads to a self contradiction. Like Descartes demonstrate that we can know that we exist in truth...bc even if you wish to doubt it...the absence of your existence would entail the abscence of your doubt as well. Believing things like "there is no objective truth" may have a certain intuitive philosophical appeal...but it is not a very rigorous way to approach philosophical question imo.
