im glad hes dead, cuz he is still a great character, if he were alive today the character wouldn't have the same effect, like rick for example (edit: After season 5 mid season1, I retract my statement, the new rick is awesome, and I cant wait to see him turn more twisted and evil.. replace rick in my original comment with the sentiment that merles character had come full circle and keeping him any longer could have spoiled him)
@Prof_Tickles929 жыл бұрын
jackmanorishe Have you noticed that Rick is becoming more and more like the governor? Think of TWD in this way: Season 1 is rick being who he originally was and being the all american good guy believing that honor and integrity can still survive. Season 2 is rick coming into conflict with that way of life. Season 3 rick realizes he has to be a different person, and at the end he doesn't like it. Season 4 he tries to give up the power and his tight reign but realize(much like the governor) that he cant escape the ruthlessness. Season 5 is rick just embracing his new ruthless side and outlook on life. What he once thought of the governor's conqueror/robber Barron ways, he has fully embraced himself.

I loved his portrayal of Merle Dixon. I told my gf who never saw the show on our first watch together that Merle was one of my favorite characters. Then he dropped the N word and she said "this is one of your favorites???" And I told her just wait. Love redemption arcs.

I don't know what it is about him, but I love his work and all of his characters. I loved him as Sherman McMasters in Tombstone, enjoyed him in Cliffhanger, Mississippi Burning, Sea of Love and Mallrats. Then, Merle became a favorite of mine , but Yondu? He became my favorite secondary character, and the saddest death next to Tony Stark. Huge fan, and hope to meet him one day!

Michael Rooker is in the pantheon with Lugosi, Karloff, Anthony Perkins and the rest. Henry is probably the scariest character in modern horror cinema. Interesting that he was nervous as it was his first film, it probably helped him portray Henry's nervousness in the world.
