I have to thank Jo for the Supernanny show. I watched an episode that helped me come to terms about what happened in my own childhood. Thanks to you Jo, I am now able to move on from what had bothered me all these years. I'm 24 now and I can say it has taken me years to figure out what went wrong but her show helped me figure that out. Thanks again Jo!❤️❤️❤️❤️

Love Jo Frost. Always watched her shows even though I had no children. Now pregnant for the first time (and almost 46) I've just ordered and received three of her books.

Yeah never snoop through your kids phone. All it teaches them is that they can’t trust you and how to be sneaky. Super strict parents only raise good liars. Kids deserve privacy as well, especially if they’re tweens/teens - they need space from their parents. If you make yourself someone you children feel comfortable going to about things, you won’t need to snoop through their phone.

Yeah. I learned to trust my mom more than my stepmom. My stepmom would go through my stuff without my permission. She’d even go through my cassette tapes that I recorded on with my tape recorder when I was visiting with my mom, and I wasn’t even there when she did it. However, with my mom, I have no problem going to her and asking questions, and I don’t mind her going through my stuff if needed. Because she either asks me if she can, and I say yes. Or, I tell her that I feel uncomfortable by someone if they send me something weird, and she double checks my stuff just to see if this person is a whack job or not.

Imagine going through your teen son's search queries. That's just something you don't want to see. Secrets are okay.

with the whole sm checking, my mother has never done it and never will on a regularly but she would check esp when i was younger and something was going on. i think that led to us being rlly close and even contributed to the odd relationship she has with my sister, because it builds a level of trust amongst the parent and child. i have a friend who constantly gets her sm checked so she creates all these new accs to talk to all these dif ppl and she gets caught and gets into even MORE trouble and the cycle starts again and sometimes it literally just feels like shes talking to guys bcs she cant if that majes sense

That’s what would happen with me and my stepmom. She would constantly go through my stuff, even without my permission. There were times where I was at my biological mom’s house, and without me knowing until after it happened, my stepmom would go through my cassette tapes that I would record on with my tape recorder. My mom would never do that. I now live with my biological mom, who I fully trust. And if I feel unsafe about something, I go to her and talk to her about it. And she either asks my permission to look through my messages just to be sure that I’m in the clear, or if I should cut that person out of my life. Or I ask her if she can look through my messages just to make sure I’m safe.

@@siennaprice1351 I’m so sorry that happened to you it must’ve been so frustrating. i totally agree, I feel like it’s really about the communication that happens. liek ur saying, your ok with your biological mother going through ur stuff if ur telling her about something because there is a relationship of trust and communication to understand each other, instead of both the parents trying to like incriminate their child

I wonder if she actually disciplines her own step grand son. He doesn’t misbehaved at all according to her social media.

Be open and honest with your tweens and teens about porn, sexting etc. (Age appropriate) Tweens/teens are aware of the sexual content on social media is a topic of conversation among their peers as it was for me in the mid-late 2000's chatrooms,Facebook etc. When I was a teen i saw "good kids" with good grades have conversations on chatrooms with guys/girls( of sexual nature) they weren't bad kids just curious and unaware of the danger they were putting themselves. Is better to have a conversation and to teach social media safety no matter how awarkd is that to spy on your kid social media.(by the way that is not going to stop them they are just gonna get another account you are unaware of). Ben honest, open and empathetic.

I never liked porn. I’ve had people go through my stuff without my permission. They’d go through my backpack all intimidating like. And they’d look at my cassette tapes that I recorded on with my tape recorder. However, my mom is a different story. I trust my mom fully. I go to her if someone texts me, and I might feel unsafe by them. She either asks my permission if she can look at my messages that we sent each other. Or I ask her to look at the texts we sent each other, just so I know if I’m safe, or if I should cut that person out of my life.
