Le Barbier de Séville de Gioacchino Rossini revient, cette saison, à l'Opéra Bastille. C'est dans un immeuble à l'intérieur populaire et coloré évoquant les films italiens des années soixante que le metteur en scène Damiano Michieletto a choisi de situer sa production. À cette occasion, Octave a rencontré Xabier Anduaga, jeune ténor espagnol faisant ses premiers pas sur la scène de l'Opéra de Paris dans le rôle du Comte d'Almaviva. Il revient sur son parcours, les caractéristiques musicales de la partition de Rossini et les défis vocaux et scéniques de son rôle.

Gioacchino Rossini's The Barber of Seville returns this season to the Opéra Bastille. Damiano Michieletto’s staging evolves in the interior of a colourful modern-day building reminiscent of several Italian films of the sixties. On this occasion, Octave interviewed the young Spanish tenor Xabier Anduaga, who is making his debut on the stage of the Paris Opera in the role of the Count Almaviva. He discusses his training, the musical characteristics of Rossini's score and the vocal and acting challenges of his role.
