Rob was one of my biggest mentors in residency, even wrote my reference letter for fellowship. I found out today about his passing, and am still in shock. I'm so saddened. What a loss. He made every trainee feel important and special. He will be dearly missed.

I trained under Rob, I wasn't aware of his diagnosis til now... Of the many qualities of Rob that I admired were his honesty, frankness and passion for education. A mentor I wish I had more time to learn from.
