People were ready to RYE-OTT if they cancelled this because we've been waiting forever for something like this where the talent, the production, everything did justice to Anne Rice's work. I mean the last episode alone should have been called acting 101, hmm-k. In the meantime, you might want to check out The Vampire Lestat, or give it a listen on audiobook, because it makes sense in a sort of the only way Lestat can make it make sense way why he starts a band.

I'm not worrying about Louis not being a part of season 3 because Lestat wasn't in the second part of the Interview with the Vampire book very much which is why we had Dreamstat. Sam Reid was in every episode still and I think they are going to do a similar thing with Jacob Anderson.

I didn't know they got renewed. I'm kinda happy it did tho. Only because I've heard the stories eventually crossover with IWTV. The main actress felt like a blank slate compared to everyone else. If she emoted more the cast chemistry could have been good. I haven't finished but I will for the sake of being caught up

Louis spent all of season 1 asking Lestat about his past and hearing about elements of his past from Armand in season 2. I want Louis to ask Lestat about his life. Gabrielle is the HBIC Lestat is her mini-me. I'm here for her!!!

I don't think it's a spoiler to say that Lestat initially starts the band to take attention off the fact that Louis (of course) broke an important rule on a gigantic scale by doing the interview/releasing the book lol. He also does it to hopefully find Louis along the way (& 'cause he loves attention tbh). Then he writes TVL to show Louis his side of IWTV. It seems like it'll be modern day though vs the 70s/80s so idk how they'll go about that. Seeing an adaptation with current celebrity & music culture will be interesting.

I told myself at 31 I was not gonna get attached to messy ass vampires again after the Twilight/True Blood/The Vampire Diaries era but this show grabbed me by the fangs now I’m all in for at least 10 more years.

If you haven’t noticed Akasha was portrayed by the late R&B Singer aka princess of R&B AALIYAH In queen of the damned the movie. Akasha is an amazing character in the book and in the movie. I just hope they cast a black Akasha again and that they give her a great actress that can give what Aaliyah Gave.

As a book reader, I can tell you that Lestat having a band is just a dumb as it sounds 😂 But hopefully the show will make it better, as they have with many of the elements. I also hope they fit Jacob in here somehow! I think their best bet is giving Louis the Queen of the Damned plot since it technically starts in the second book.

AMC bought all 13 books of The Vampire Chronicles, plus Pandora and Vittorio The Vampire. They also purchased The Witching Hour Trilogy. There is enough material to easily create The Talamasca and Night Island, which hopefully we will see soon as well. Lestat and Louis will always to some degree be the center romance as promised by Rolin but we must have Daniel Malloy doing this interview, will his style change and if not would he survive? 😛✌️

They might still keep Jacob but I don't think Louis will be on every episode, even if he is in every ep, his screentime might be minimum because Louis only appeared like 5-10% in The Vampire Lestat book, Armand will definitely have more screentime than Louis since he has a big part in TVL book, if they adapt it close to TVL book, the real top 3 main characters are gonna be Lestat, Gabrielle, Nicholas.

Marius always a fascinating character for me, with the qualitys and defaults. This long life of emotional chaos, and dreams couldn't not be done is fascinating. Sorry I know Marius is a taboo character for many fan but for me, he is the more human character of this book series fo me.

You’re so right about word of mouth because marketing was doing fuck all, ooo they pissed me off with their bs. Like we still ain’t got Jacob and Assad interview, like waht sense do that make, they’re literally the main couple this season 😒 Anyway I’m keeping an open mind for s3 but man if Louis ain’t a main character for this and future seasons I really don’t see myself tapping in. Like the main reason why I started this show was for Louis and Claudia and them being black, I don’t think I can handle losing both of them for a whole season and it becoming about some white people and Armand for sauce. But I’m really happy for the cast and crew. I honestly wasn’t worried, amc is trying to build a whole universe around this show and it’s the best they got especially after the witch show tanked. I’m glad they’re keeping their jobs, that’s some incredible talent behind this show
