When I heard there was a TV adaptation, after being a big fan of the movie, I was excited by Jacob Anderson being casted as Louis, but I truly wondered who would be as good (or better) than Tom Cruise as Lestat, but from 2 episodes alone, I'm obsessed with Sam Reid as him. Lily, and at the Card Game at the beginning.) and he used vampire telepathy and other powers on Louis from the jump.

You are so forkin precious!! As a vampire show fan, I thought the same thing about Bonnie and the rings 😂 I love your shock and awe of the show. I’ve been a fan of the books for years. They clearly made some changes to the storyline to modernize it, and I absolutely adore Jacob Anderson as Louis. I can’t think of a better sad boy to play the ultimate vampire sad boy. And his race change plays perfectly and beautifully into the story of the pain and shame Louis felt, it’s just so perfect. Not to mention we FINALLY get the gay love scenes that have always been there. Keep it up!!

I LOVED your reaction, its the same feelings I had when I watched it initially, I am SUBSCRIBED Seeing Jacob and Sam really embodied the chemistry Louis and Lestat have for one another. The obsession and depression wrapped around each like coils in a pen had my heart palpitating. The show delivered so much, I feel unworthy. i think i gotta watch this one. i loved the old movie, but this looks really good and (far more, re: louis/lestat) true to the books in the vibe. i was a little hesitant about the time era change when i first heard of it, but this looks great.
