The show runner and producers aren't done with Claudia. In an interview (SDCC?) Rolin Jones said Claudia will still be present in season 3, and possibly beyond. My guess is flashbacks, ghost/haunting, or "dream" (imaginary) Claudia.

Never read and Rice's books and after seeing Interview with the Vampire I had to watch the movie with Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt by far this series is magnificent and these guys are true actors that are straight men. There are a lot of beautiful parts in S1, but the scene that is ingrained in my memory is them dancing in white at the masquerade ball. Bravo! They both deserve Emmys and the interviewer as well. 😉🌈👍🏽

she does, but it's overshadowed by the resentment they have for each other. She even said when she was kid Louis was her favorite but her and Lestat had more in common.

I think there's no bond because Lestat didn't choose her before giving her the dark gift. Lestat only did it for Louis. I think the intention as he was making her is this is for Louis, she is for him so when she is made she feels a stronger connection with Louis.

ALL vampires are sexually fluid. They don't necessarily discriminate in their lovers. Sure, they likely have preferences, but they seem to gravitate towards people who fulfill a validation, supportive, loyalty, emotional, and "challenge" (to keep things interesting) need for companions.

@@transformationstation5414 in this instance, yes, because changing the race of the lead character in this led to them having to change fundamental facts of the story. Whereas , for instance, changing Starbucks to a female in BSG did not force them to alter any of the story because of her change. That’s the difference. I think Jacob Anderson is a good actor. But they had to change the fundamentals of the story to accommodate his being Louis. Do you see what I’m getting at?
