I think Eric doesn't get enough credit for his brilliant perfomance. He seems a bit underrated. Eric's so natural, his intonations, questions, remarks are so on point, that it appears he doesn't even act cuz it's the way he expersses himself in real life (I've watched a whole bunch of interviews with the cast). If Eric gets Emmy for this role it will be totally desrved!😍

They’re only one thing I hate about this series is I can’t bring it, but then I would be hungry for more. Guess you guys had it right. Aaliyah was exactly how I pictured the queen of the Damned in the books. She was the only redeeming quality in that movie. Hopefully they do her storyline in the show. I'm sure I will love whoever they cast. They're doing such a great job with the show

I wonder if Eric read the Devil's Minion chapter from Queen of the Damned. Because I LOVE what he is bringing to Daniel. Daniel is such a character. There's one point where even though he's terrified Armand is gonna kill him, he's annoyed that he's been woken up in the middle of the night with Armand demanding he call Paris just to see that it's possible. Daniel yells at Armand and calls him an "immortal idiot" for not knowing how to use the phone. I could see Eric's version of Daniel doing this. For sure. 😊

I can't wait to watch the scene he talks about, because I have the feeling he might be talking about Daniel's autobiography - hence implying that he was describing vampires (and even maybe... some events or relatioship he might have had with some vampires, I don't know) without knowing that's what he was doing. Imagine, reading your autobiography and realising that the wife you were talking about was actually the vampire who's your client's husband (quite improbable considering the s2 scenes that dropped recently but you get the idea) (I think)

I absolutely love this series I’m so happy that they have been renewed for a second season. The cast is fabulous each character is a perfect fit for each role. Sorry to have to tell Delainey that she didn't hit the mark with the accent. At all. It was an incorrect accent, very characterized, not at all spot on and native New Orleans LA like Bailey's was. It was almost like an overdone mockery of a hodgepodge GA/AL/MS southern accent. And in many times her British accent bled through quite noticeably. Her acting is fine, but I think Bailey's was on a whole 'nother level and much better suited to the character of Claudia. In addition, Bailey just seemed more believably 14.

Seventh generation NOLA native here. I'm sorry to disagree with you, but Bailey's accent - a _Gone With The Wind_ hybrid completely at odds with the speech of any poor black child born in the city in that era - sounded like the fanciful creation of a dialect coach who never set foot in New Orleans. I _loved_ the performances of both Claudias. I just wish Bailey had had been given better information.
