Do you deflate after each use? Or do you put excursion on some kind of trailer? Seems it would be a lot of time setting up to have all that stuff on boat if you were to inflate and deflate every time you use it. Have any tips to make setup faster? Also the platform on back and front of boat, are you using a flange bolted to floor? How much weight can it hold? Thank you in advance. Love what you’ve done to your boat.

The boxes that hold the chairs , is that box some how attached to the hard floor or is it heavy enough where it just gets set on top on it?
@peterpham48464 жыл бұрын
I originally have them attached with industry grade Velcro, but since upgrade them to locking door latches. My friends were using the seats as launch platform into the lake...LOL

What are the dimensions of the boxes under the seats?

How long have you had it and have you had any problems with having all the mods being on it like rips tears leaks I just bought mine and I'm thinking about modding it

You ever get an answer to this question from any other builder? Curious myself.

Hi Peter, Great video and modifications!!! I have a Sevylor Super Caravelle 6 person Boat. I want to build the same modifications for my boat but I do have some questions on the design. What size wood screws are you using? Are you using one battery to power the trolley motor and the electronics? if so, do you have the ability to recharge while in the water? I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to electronics so it would be great if you could make a video with more detail. Thanks for the help and great job!

I used exterior word screws 1 1/2 and pre-drilled all the holes. I got only one battery in the boat running a 55lbs thrust motor on it. Just added another battery so I can go fully throttle on it and not worry about running out of juice! There is no solar charge on the boat. The electronics is pretty easy to hooked up. They all run on the 12v battery setup, I have a small 18V lithium battery to power the radio, fish finder and lights.

Can you talk more about how you haul it? Do you air it up every time? Is the floor one piece? Do the boxes come out and break down?
@peterpham48468 жыл бұрын
Hi, everything is deflated and put into the back of my truck, the flooring is one piece, and all the boxes are made of wood by 3/4 thickness. I put a heavy duty tarp right next to the launch ramp and inflate all the chambers and load the box seats on to the boat. I mount the trolling motor on the boat and drag one side of the tarp into the water. Once one side hit the water it's easy to push the rest of the boat into the water. Retrieve the tarp and put it into my truck cabin. Party the truck and go fishing.

Are you able to paddle from that upright position?
@peterpham48467 жыл бұрын
No..its design for a trolling or gas motor engines, not for rowing or using the paddles sitting up on the chairs. I can used the oars if needed on the hard wood flooring for an emergency.
@michaelotoole12717 жыл бұрын
Thanks. Hoping to make a similar set up without the motor, perhaps with longer oars or a kayak paddle.

I saw the original design from another builder and just copy it from the picture..the hard platform floor I did a trace of the bottom with cardboard.

Would you be able to stand and cast,bone stock
@peterpham48468 жыл бұрын
Hi, you can not stand on the boat and cast if the hard flooring is not installed. The rubber ribs on the boat is not stable enough for you to stand on it. Sitting and laying down is OK.

you spent $2500 bucks on a $100 inflatable boat?
@peterpham48467 жыл бұрын
How did you get $2500 of BOM?? LOL..what math are you doing? No one with common sense would spend that amount on an inflatable boat that is graded recreation..
@Gyppor7 жыл бұрын
Seems to me if the original inflatable boat gets damaged beyond repair, all he has to do is buy a new one, swap the floor and seats in, and he's on his way. Not a bad way to do things.
