My dad used to work for Coca-Cola. He would give us unmixed untouched fresh coke no additions etc. When i tell u its so sweet but not sugary I mean it. Like they do us disservice by not selling how it actually tastes. Anyway my mom was the defacto taste tester. The workers would compete against each other by mixing a batch for her to approve. If she liked it- they sold it.😂😂😂.

​@@brandonthekalamari theres huge quality differences between foods you can buy in canada and the US. Just need to do some research and then remember it. The thing you shouldn't do is trust that any food you buy at a grocery store is going to be healthy, particularly if its processed by a company (like premade mixes, boxed goods, sauces, readymade meals etc). Best you can do is stick with one ingredient foods and with those if u want low chance of any chemicals then buy them organic or natural (but read ingredients cause some 'natural' foods are marketing scams). Fresh vegetables, fruits, meats, cheese, eggs, rice, beans, spices, butter/lard (NOT vegetable oils like shortening or crisco; another fake heavily processed product which is barely even food which causes a lot of health issues particularly heart disease; look up how they're made you'll see). And for prepared meals, make them yourself with ingredients you buy so you can control whats in them. For drinks, filtered water (yes even tap water in many places in the US contains harmful contaminants), flavored seltzer/fizzy waters, as raw milk as you can buy, the standard stuff is once again very processed.

Mountain Dew also contained brominated vegetable oil, which contains a chemical used in fire retardant. It was banned in Asia a while back and I don't think they use it here in the US anymore. A coworker and I used to joke that, by drinking Mountain Dew, we were safeguarding ourselves from spontaneous combustion.

As a white person... I don't get steak tartare either. That said, I am somewhat familiar with how it is prepared and it should always be from a very trustworthy source and you should get a solid chunk of beef or steak or w/e and cut the outside off. Beef is a bit special in that so long as you sear it on the outside, you're good in almost all cases as bacteria doesn't penetrate beef like it does poultry or pork. That said, give me the steak (mid rare), not the chopped up raw steak... I've had a very rare fillet before and, while it was safe, I wasn't a big fan of basically eating mostly raw beef.

Yea absolutely is, my family friends owns a bbq restaurant and I used to work for them during summers in high school and college. They order boxes of those for their rib sandwiches for summertime events with their food truck cause they're fast to deep fry and slap in a French roll. Box literally says McRib lol

The store I work at has a lot of people from other countries. They will not eat certain foods! One of my coworkers noticed that one coworker from Europe will not go to the bread aisle but to bakery and will squeeze the breads first. He asked why.
