When I am doing recipes for the first time, it is like ideas come to mind on how to make that recipe my own and to tailor it to my family's taste! Once done, they absolutely love it! FYI: Do not drain grease into sink. Instead pour in a glass or metal bowl let cool than sit in fridge to solidify otherwise it will solidify in your plumbing and create blockage. Toss in trash when solid.

January 17, 2022 I made it today and it was incredible. Family very impressed. My lasagna took one and half hours till it reached 160 degrees I used a large pan .Because I baked it so long I didn't want to dry it out so I put the last layer of cheese under the broiler to brown cheese. Presentation was perfect. Great job 😇😇😇 I will definitely repeat this recipe.

Hi Gina. I noticed the white bowl with a wheat blade (the one with the garlic in it) because it brings me fond memories of my childhood. I recall eating cereal or ice cream out of a bowl that matches yours. My mother had a whole set of those because she saved each one that came in a box of Duz detergent. ❤️ Adding baking soda in your tomato based dishes changes the pH of the tomato sauces...neutralizes acidity in bbq and Italian dishes, etc. I also add the sugar...that helps tone the tart... ❤️

Love your recipe! I also fry up sausage but I make meatballs with the sauteed onions,peppers and garlic and put them in my homemade sauce in the crockpot. This I do a day ahead. Then I mash the meatballs withe the already cooked sausage and start the assembly of the lasagna. Loved your video especially because alot of recipes don't have the peppers sauteed. I love all of your videos and the instructions of building flavors! Thank you for helping me be a more creative cook

@@zaria_xo this isn't my opinion, but the TRUE and only recipe of lasagnE. I'm italian, I live in Italy and this recipe for se this recipe is sacred🙏. I'm from the zone of "birth" of this recipe and to see this "lasagna" is terrible 😕. And, important, the lasagne is a type of pasta totally different, in the lasagne there are eggs, is a egg's pasta it.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lasagne_(gastronomia).

Last time I had lasagna....it's probably been about 2 months ago. Bout time to make it again. I always season my ground beef while it's cooks infuse all the flavors into the meat. I also use Italian seasoning to Ms. Gina.

Hi Gina. This recipe is almost exactly like the very first lasagna I ever made. It is bomb! My Sister said the restaurants in Italy served ricotta for dessert, she said it is the most delish ricotta you will ever taste. Can’t wait to try it on my next Italian vacation.
