Long time watcher, first time commenting. You have been my go to since beginning to tackle watercolor 5 years ago in my 70's. My primary takeaway from this video was using a tracing as a guide for my own drawing vs. transferring. Very helpful. You also asked if anyone would be interested in a video on TEXTURE. That was really exciting to me and I would definitely appreciate it. Thank you.

I have not missed a day of practice in the last two weeks. I am starting to see results after just 14 days. Thank you Michele for this wonderful tip.

Used to draw with pencils all the time. A source of great pleasure and relaxation all on its own. Hardly ever do it in these days of computerised everything and KZbin entertainment. Same with reading fiction. As much as modern tech makes life easier, it also seems to make it emptier. Miss the old days.

What excellent, excellent tips Michele, thank you so much for doing this. I really learned about Tip 15 on my own last year when I was trying to draw mushrooms. I simply love all your tips and especially your Tip 16! lol love your mug. I can see too that drawing like that every day would help you to see better as well. I am getting better with Tip 17, but I'm still working on it - lol!! There is much that you mentioned that I just learned last week as ah ha moments. It is surprisingly hard to find really brilliant teaching on certain subjects and yes, eventually, one can learn these things, but it is so much easier to learn from a great teacher. Thank you so much Michele for being a great teacher and providing us with so much.

Great tutorial. Regarding the embossing tool. How does it work with watercolours? Is it employed before or after the paint is down?

You can do either way. Into wet sometimes is a little more effective. It will make dark lines as it attracts the pigment.

@@kerbear829 I get mine from online art suppliers in the UK so not sure about dollar prices. Honestly I usually use the Daler Rowney Firm Putty but it was out of stock so I order W&N and it's very similar. They come in different sizes too so watch for that. I would do a price comparison with online art shops before paying that amount.
