Love to all of you going through this. 28yr old married mom of two here, diagnosed with lupus in 2018 after having the second child. Had a stroke at 25 in 2020 and was then diagnosed with kidney disease. Managed everything this far and was able to live a “normal” life, but Nov 2023 I had to start dialysis. Never imagined life being this way and they are ready for me to leave the center and try PD. I’ve been scared to research, that makes it real but I’m so glad I found this channel!!! We’ve got thisss and I’m so glad you’re doing much better now!!! 🙌🏾 There is hope!💜💜

As a newly diagnosed type one diabetic, this video was super helpful and is a gentle reminder that I am not alone. There is a whole community that goes through the same struggles. I admire your positivity and outlook on life dealing with chronic illness. I had to give you a follow! Thank you for this video

Thank you so much for this 🥹 I’m 27 and got diagnosed with kidney failure and been struggling. Trying to find a supportive group and friends who are in the same boat. My friends now are great but don’t really understand the struggle I face. So hearing you speak on this is amazing. Thank you ❤

You're young so I know how devastating it feels initially, I was diagnosed at 21 and felt the same. They can't relate, but still allow them to be a comfort and your sense of normalcy outside of your diagnoses. Everything is going to be fine.

Married person of a dialysis patient for over six years. Let me tell you we have pulled a tube or two....not good but not as scary as we thought. Now he is on hemo dialysis and things have changed again. We love each other and intimacy is still a struggle and we have been married 16years. I think when a person is chronically sick it's always hard to feel good enough for intimate times. I pray though everyday and I am happy he is still pushing it at 45yrs old...prayers for everyone dealing with dialysis.

35 and doing all the tings to try to keep a marriage and mental sanity while full of tubes... I am about to buy a PD belt and transition away from bandages. I think I will always proffer to have the site bandaged up for cleanliness but I want to give my skin a break. It's hard to find a way to feel comfortable.

Thank you so much. The self doubt that can arise from telling these stories can be immense, but when the story truly helps someone it eliminates some of the fear.

My boyfriend has helped me feel so confident with my dialysis port to where I’ll wear a swimsuit (on pd) he’s never made me feel ugly or bad with my port and scars. It’s an amazing the support I have. I’ve been waiting 3 years and I wouldn’t be able to do this without him and my family

Thank you so much for this video. I have Type 1 Diabetes and wear an insulin pump (Omnipod) as well as a CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitor-Dexcom G6). In the past, even currently I struggle with insecurities about how I'm viewed with my medical devices. But honestly, everyone is supportive or "isnt bothered" by seeing them as i think they would be. 😊 This video was a feel good video to let me know that people who live with chronic illnesses are perfectly imperfect. Thank you for sharing your story and this topic 💛

Been on hemo dialysis my entire 20s. Had no issue dating. Now I'm in my 30s and I am terrified of dating. All of a sudden I am so self conscious of dating while on dialysis. I pray I can recieve a kidney soon.

Thank you for sharing your journey. I just happened to be on Facebook and saw a shared KZbin post of yours. I bless God for all He has done for you. I can tell you’re a very strong, beautiful, intelligent butterfly. Although I don’t struggle with a chronic illness, I struggle greatly with my own insecurities. However, your video has encouraged my heart. May God continue to heal and make you sooooo much stronger. You also have a beautiful family. Be blessed always!

Now everything is better and I feel that I can start dating again. I'm open at the jimle and tell anyone who I want to talk to hey. I have kidney disease an d on dialysis. Are you still interested.

Hi watching from philippines, How long did you take prednisone? And when your moon face go away?
@DawnRaven Жыл бұрын
Hey to the Philippines, my father is Filipino. 🇵🇭 I'm actually still on a very small dose, and although I've always had a round head lol my face is still not completely back to what it once was, but I'm not for certain if that's from the 5mg of pred or my healthy weight gain. As far as the noticeable moon face- a little less than a year
