Intimidator At Carowinds

Intimidator is a steel roller coaster built by Bolliger & Mabillard at Carowinds in both North and South Carolina. The roller coaster is located in the Carowinds Plaza section of the park. Intimidator is the thirteenth roller coaster installed at Carowinds and is located near the entrance of the theme park. It is currently one of the tallest, fastest and longest roller coasters in the Southeast with a 232-foot (71 m) lift hill, a top speed of 80 miles per hour (130 km/h) and a track length of 5,316 feet (1,620 m). It was announced on August 26, 2009 and opened March 27, 2010. The roller coaster's name comes from the nickname of the late NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt.

If Intimidator was the coaster that put Carowinds on the Map Fury 325 is the coaster that solidified Carowinds spot as one of the greatest parks in the USA(Or at least one of Cedar Fair's best parks)

The first drop is what scares me every time & the ride up to the first hill, but then everything's smooth sailing from there. Best ride I've ever been on.

I remember when my first time on this ride back in 2011. The whole time we were rising, I was like "Hell no!" We're super high and this drop is about to be super steep! Now I hear that Fury 325 is not only a taller ride but that it travels at a faster speed! I'm suppose to be going to Carowinds this Saturday. Can't wait for the thrills, I guess.

When I went to Carowinds, they were trying to beat a world record of getting the most amount of trains out in an hour, and they only took like 20 seconds to get he trains out and check lap bars and stuff. I remember sitting in the front seat and felt something under me, I picked the object up and it was someone's iPhone they left behind. I didn't know what to do with it then an employee just took it out of my hands. That person's phone would have been broken if I wouldn't have picked it up. It probably would have fallen out of The seat going down a hill or something

NbaWhatIfs Very similar for sure, not exact but close. I personally like Diamondback better because of the surroundings of the ride and the splash down at the end, both are great though. Fury 325 makes both of them seem like kiddie rides though, if you haven't got a chance to ride it I highly suggest it

Thos was the very first rollercoaster o rode. So we were at a hotel across the street from the park.and we had a veiw of it. So i was watching the intimidater and i was like yeah i want to ride that one ( remember, i was a first time rider not knowing what to expect) so the next day, we went to the park and was still wanting to ride the intimidater. So i rode it and i was like omg what did i just get myself into. And a week later, i am watching this vid scared to death.

Bennett Williams if you were to accelerate faster than the car in front of you,because of how unflexibly the carts are attached in the forward/backward joint, you would just push the car in front of you at the same speed. moving at speeds of 60 mph, if the front of the car is going just one mile per hour slower than the back, either the back would accelerate the front slightly(and this happens instantaneously, there is no noticable delay even when footage slowed down twice). has any part of a roller car ever touched the car in front of you? no, at highway speed, the difference of any noticeable amount would also cause a noticeable jolt if a collision happens at the speed of the difference. you go faster up hills than the front goes up the same hill because the front drags the back over it, but the back goes slower downhill than the front when it was going down the same hill because the front, by the time the back crests the hill, has lost its kinetic energy that it had going over the hill and now the back pushes the front forward because the front has slowed which consumes and converts more energy, causing the whole thing to slow down, and the whole thing accelerates at the earths acceleration rate subtracted by friction of the air and track combined divided by quantity of the angle (with earths curvature factored in) times the rate of deceleration when moving in an even circle around earth central gravitation and this applies to the whole train. it is called the accordion effect, and i spliced it with gravity, centripetal force, and sound wave frequency(already part of the accordion effect). look it up. it my seem like my appliance of the effect was a little out there, but after you learn how it is applied it should be come more and more apparent.
