I was also. I never became a publisher nor did I get baptized. My father was disfellowship by the time I was 8 or 9 years old, and to see people he once had a friendship with not speak to him when we were out in public left a cold disconnect within me. So by the time I was 16 years old I decided not to go with my mother, being that she always told me I was going to be destroyed every time I didn't go or made a mistake made me stay away.

The earth is increasing in temperature, chaotic weather, loss of natural seasons and animal species, higher food and fuel prices, mass migration, wars and more. It is proving what the bible said many centuries ago 'It does not belong to man who is walking, to direct his own step' -Jeremiah 10:23. But there is hope, because God (Jehovah) said he "did not create [the earth] simply for nothing” but “formed it even to be inhabited” (Isaiah 45:18). because he has set a day where he will restore the balance of nature through a heavenly government, the one found in the Lord's Prayer 'Let your Kingdom Come' (Matt 6:10) when on earth "'No resident say 'I am sick'" (Isaiah 33:24). So put your faith in that heavenly government (kingdom) now and be among those that will 'inherit the earth when he restores it (Matthew 5:5). Thank you. That is an apostate's claims, not made out of sincerity. All genuine Christians understand the refinement process of understanding that occurs in 100 years of Bible examination. A student cannot know everything on his first day. Since the Bible Students were the only ones proclaiming the Good News that is why Satan has used their initial beginnings to try and discredit Jehovah's Witnesses today via apostates, usually Witness kids raised in the Truth but which truth was not in them and after getting themselves disfellowshipped they became venomous snakes in proactively opposing their former brothers. They now have open slather via the Internet.

I am so angry what this cult has done to my family. I really, really hate them and can't wait for their karma to get back at them all. They have destroyed lives and families. My second cousins husband abused her for years (both were JW) She got disfellowshipped for speaking out and eventually he took his own life. It was a messed up situation and again, caused by the horrible cult that is JW (ran by paedo governing body. Do they really think those creepy men are all going to heaven? They have such a dark secret, all of them.) They're the kind of satanism disguised as something else. But with eyes to see, I can see the hypnotising they've endured and the evil in their eyes. It's better to describe the things you don't want to do or things you don't believe in are based on what the Bible teaches. We should not just be self righteous according to our own beliefs and wants. Are your desires and actions in line with the Bible teaching or the things you don't like and don't believe are those against what the Bible teaches? (2 Timothy 4: 3,4; Mateo 10: 21, 22, 36; Micah 7:6). Through that, it will be known who is the true disciples of God and followers of Christ.

My second roommate in my early 20's was a JW. He was one of the coolest guys I'd ever known. While I knew him, he was in ex-communication because an ex-girlfriend of his went to his church and told them they had premarital sex. His own family wasn't allowed to talk to him. He continued to go to "meetings" where nobody was allowed to talk to him in hopes that he would eventually be brought back into the fold. I can't imagine being in his shoes. We were both firefighters, and he stayed a night on my shift at the fire station. That night, he wasn't able to help me lower and fold the flag. He told me he wasn't of this world and forbidden to take part in the nightly flag-folding. I couldn't understand how someone so level-headed and cool could be so brainwashed, but human emotion is a powerful thing. When you're brought up believing only darkness waits for you upon death if you don't believe in "insert faith here", the grief is huge. I know this as a recovered ex-evangelical christian. Fast forward to this last Saturday. I was coming home with parts to build a new computer and I could see men in suits and a well-dressed woman pushing a stroller with an older daughter in-tow going door to door in my neighborhood. As I started putting the thing together, the lady and her daughter approached me in my garage. Rather than introducing herself, she had her daughter give an obviously scripted spiel to me about sharing the good news. The little girl asked if she could leave me with a pamphlet describing the good news and I responded with "no thank you". The mother let out a little guffaw. It was as though I was completely unreasonable to deny the request of a little girl. Brainwashing works for them. I guess she thought it might work on me too. Oops! No, I don't feel guilty. I hope it all works out for them.

It's sad to see non-believers be brainwashed by this world just like Jehovah Witnesses. I don't understand how a rational thinking man could come to the conclusion god isn't real. Do you not believe in morals, love, justice, truth, free will, you? If there is no god there is no you, there are no actual absolute morals, there is no real thing called love, life is just a joke/an accident. Also, Time must have had a begin because if it's eternal you wouldn't have past, present and future. You can't start counting or move forward without a start date so what caused/created time? Let me guess nothing? If time had a start than matter and energy had a start. We also know this because the second law of thermodynamics, energy is decreasing, so what caused it? Again, nothing? The most rational explanation would be a timeless, space less, matter less, eternal, uncaused cause or god.

The years I served to the Watch Tower was a total waste of time. Things did not make any sense to me back then. I went to a Jehovah's Witness convention were they announced that the former JW Franz, part of the government body was expelled from the organization. Also they advised us not to read any publication coming from him or any other source. They said to read and to listen only to the literature coming from the Watch Tower. That really called my attention and I stayed very curious for many years. I wanted to know how this could possibly happened being the true religion according to the JW. I am happy you are providing this information to the public. I'm an ex-witness and I didn't know about the beginning of the religion. I was taught it was Charles T Russell who was the co-founder and started the religion. All the other things mentioned here are true. JWs are taught to put the organization before even their own family. I have seen families torn apart because of this rule. There is a high number of people suffering from depression, especially women. Women do not have a voice in this religion. The leaders use scare tactics to control members. For example: if you speak or question the teachings or rules of the organization you are an apostate and it's unforgivable sin against God. This was one of their many tactics to frighten members. When I started dropping out, I was harassed and made to feel like I was an unfit mother. I was told I was a bad mother for becoming inactive. When I tried to tell one of the elders what this elder had said, he right away dismissed me, claiming no one from his congregation would say such a thing. I told him he was wrong. He didn't ask for the name and he ended the conversation right then and I never saw him again. The elder stopped comings. At least something good came from that. They stopped harassing me.

@@djbof If that was an initial understanding, so what? The revealing of truth is progressive and not all at once. That is God's way according to Scripture. In all my studies I never heard of those dates, and 1874 was even before the first Watchtower. It sounds like a year someone might calculate as the "Second Coming" or establishment of God's Kingdom because the Book of Jasher's chronology is 40 years out consistently even if other calculations were correct. However it sounds like 7th Day Adventist prediction. 1914 was the correct date but Christ's return was his kingship in Heaven. He is not coming to earth to rule or give his life again. Signs from that prophecy began in that year until now, being the last generation or short time period before the end. 1914 was calculated way back in the 1870's so why would they change it in the 1930's well after 1914 was established as true according to all the accompanying signs?
@tonybarfridge4369 Жыл бұрын
@@djbof Whilst reading the book "God's Kingdom rules" of 2014 I found the following info which should prove of interest to sincere people: As we saw in Chapter 2 of this book, the Bible Students spent decades pointing out that the year 1914 would be significant in fulfilling Bible prophecy. However, at that time they believed that Christ’s presence had begun in 1874, that he had begun to rule in heaven in 1878, and that the Kingdom would not be fully set up until October 1914. The harvest would extend from 1874 to 1914 and would culminate in the gathering of the anointed to heaven. Do mistaken ideas such as these cast doubt on whether Jesus was guiding those faithful ones by means of holy spirit? Not at all! Think again of our opening illustration. Would the premature ideas and eager questions of the tourists cast doubt on the reliability of their guide? Hardly! Similarly, although God’s people sometimes try to work out details of Jehovah’s purpose before it is time for the holy spirit to guide them to such truths, it is clear that Jesus is leading them. Thus, faithful ones prove willing to be corrected and humbly adjust their views.-Jas. 4:6.

Stephanie Hill Are Jehovah’s Witnesses a sect or a cult? Some define sect to mean a group that has broken away from an established religion. Others apply the term to a group that follows a particular human leader or teacher. The term is usually used in a derogatory way. Jehovah’s Witnesses are not an offshoot of some church but include persons from all walks of life and from many religious backgrounds. They do not look to any human, but rather to Jesus Christ, as their leader. A cult is a religion that is said to be unorthodox or that emphasizes devotion according to prescribed ritual. Many cults follow a living human leader, and often their adherents live in groups apart from the rest of society. The standard for what is orthodox, however, should be God’s Word, and Jehovah’s Witnesses strictly adhere to the Bible. Their worship is a way of life, not a ritual devotion. They neither follow a human nor isolate themselves from the rest of society. They live and work in the midst of other people.

If they disagree with a teaching they are told to be patient. wait on God to help you understand. they are not shunned. if ONE CHOOSES to think they can understand something without relying on God, not the Watchtower, then that is THEIR choice. they choose there path. I was raised a JW and left. came back so I am a living testimony on years and years of research. all these idiotic documentaries are angry people who are just stomping there little feet. If anyone was to want to find out about any faith ask someone in that faith, not someone who is angry at that faith. Gosh anyone should no that. all I see is more and more proof that we have the truth. even by the angry comments made about JW. the ways and actions of apostates is laid out in the bible, and let me tell you, they fit it to the tee. so all they do just proves it more to me. as for shunning, my family,and JW friends were always there for me. I was never shunned. that is more propaganda by angry x-JW.s only YOU can disfellowship yourself for not be repentant. I have a friend who as disfellowship due to adultry. she went to the elders and said she could no longer live two lifes. she disfellowshiped herself. NEVER has anyone been disfellowshiped involuntarily. I hate the spread of lies and stretch stories. I am living proof of what is true and not. I was not a JW for over 20yrs and studied all faiths, including Wicca, yep, that one too. without being told not to do it on my own. I also know that Satan will do what ever it takes to make you leave God and put info out there to do so. You have to be smart about what you do. If u look for fault in something, you will find it. nothing looks good under a microscope.

I read the books (circa 1966-1981) "Then is finished, the mystery of God" and "Paradise", and a bunch of other ones, usually in one group or another, as a "forced guest" in their homes, (that I had absolutely nothing to do with). - These books did not make any real or substantial arguments, but were a collection of assumptions, and allegorical references, in the manner of a "Slippery-Slope", - basing one factually erroneous assertion upon another one. Erroneous claims were continuously demanded. ~ All of their books excelled at "stacking up" a series of wrongful and idiotic statements in the summary of a pack of outlandish, bohemian, and totally weird claims, ~ all stated as fact!

In my congregation a mother was arrested for having a sexual relationship with her son, he admitted to abusing his sister. Another boy was abused by his uncle. An ex girl friend told me her brother sexualy abused her. There were others I found out about from other congregations, one guy who consentialy had a sexual relationship with two of his sisters hung himself.... It is a rotten religion of small minded, petty fantasists who love to judge others. Arrogant and dangerous, preaching should be banned as emotional abuse. The religion with the lowest IQ.

The need for religion will never disappear in human society. There will always be a significant percentage of people in society that are incapable of demonstrating self regulation, and rational thought. Those people who require validation and a sense of purpose from a ruling organization, are enslaved by their own self-serving bias and determination to connect with an authority figure. I do not feel sorry for adults who choose this type of lifestyle, but I do feel sympathy for their children.

Nice video. Important info. Individual witnesses believe with their whole hearts that they have the truth and need to share it. Most are very sincere. You can go to a Kingdom Hall nearly anywhere in the world and feel like you are part of a family and they teach the same things everywhere. I don't know of any other organization that has something like that, to that extent. It makes you feel lost when you leave. And there is no easy way to leave. I don't like being around angry or resentful or scornful people and I don't want to join another church. There is plenty to appreciate from being a witness, including not having a smoking or drug habit, learning how to study, etc. I think they are right about some things too. The thing I don't miss though is being afraid of Armageddon, Tribulation and coming persecution. And being told that there will be plenty of time to develop talents in the coming "New System". I think we are just donkeys being teased along with that carrot.

*PROOF THAT THE WATCHTOWER DOES NOT WANT YOU TO THINK FOR YOURSELF!* *Watchtower, January 15, 1983 p. 27:* Yet there are some who point out that the organization has had to make adjustments before, and so they argue: 'This shows that we have to make up our own mind on what to believe.' *This is independent thinking*. Why is it so *dangerous*? Such thinking is an evidence of pride. And the Bible says: 'Pride is before a crash, and a haughty spirit before stumbling.' (Proverbs 16:18) If we get to thinking that we know better than the organization, we should ask ourselves: 'Where did we learn Bible truth in the first place? Would we know the way of the truth if it had not been for guidance from the organization? Really, can we get along without the direction of God's organization?' No, we cannot!.. *Fight against independent thinking."* *The Watchtower, September 1, 1962, p. 524:* "The student must express himself as he understands the truth. (Gal. 6:6) *He cannot have independent thinking."* *The Watchtower, September 15, 1989, p. 23, 13* "In the world, there is a tendency to reject leadership. As one lecturer said: "The rising education level has improved the talent pool such that followers have become so critical that they are almost impossible to lead." But *a spirit of independent thinking does not prevail* in God's organization, and we have sound reasons for *confidence in the men taking the lead among us."* *Watchtower, Jan. 15, 1983 p. 22:* *"Avoid independent thinking...questioning the counsel that is provided by God's visible organization."*
@shihtzufizzers10 жыл бұрын
it looks like God is the one who tells us to be careful about independent thinking. not Watchtower. in fact you even put the scripture there that shows it is from Gods word. WE are imperfect, so how could we even begin to think we know better than God? in fact, the bible does tells us that we can not even guide our own foot steps. We need God to direct us. Independent thinking? well I can think for my self. God did give us a brain to figure things out. but we must be careful when it comes to spiritual matters. Satan is tricky and will do everything he can to guide us wrong. like he did to Eve, he told her she did not need God. He encouraged independent thinking. So really, do you want to follow Satan way or Gods way? it is a simple answer to this question. one word. so what is it?

Dan P To quote Raymond Franz, who spent 9 of his 60 years as a Witness in service of the Governing Body......the higher ups would tell them to decide on what was going to go to print, because once it was printed, it was the Truth. He said they spent more time arguing about internal doctrine than actually analyzing and interpreting the scriptures, and there were constant disagreements and fights. Doesn't sound like a pipeline from Jehovah to me.

A big difference between the Bible Students, started by Russell, and the Jehovah's Witnesses, started by Rutherford, is that Russell encouraged personal Bible study and for people to prove to doctrines to themselves. Bible Students are allowed to have different view points and are allowed to disagree with each other on things. JWs are forced to accept doctrines from a central head quarters and have no freedom of thought.

***** I don't see how Galileo, Hitler, and the Pope are related to the Bible Students. The claims you are making are absolutely ludicrous. The Bible Students are 100% against violence. Most of us would rather go to prison than fight in wars. The people you seem to be accusing are not Bible Students.
@Settesh10 жыл бұрын
***** The Bible Students I am referring to still follow Russel's teaching to study the Bible and prove things to our self, but we do not agree with Rutherfords ideas. This is why many left the Watchtower when Rutherford took over. Some stayed and became JWs, others left and became the LHMM, and others kept the name Bible Student and followed the example that Russel set. If you read the six volumes of Studies in the Scriptures, you will see what real Bible Students believe.
@Settesh10 жыл бұрын
***** We tell them that we are non-denominational Christians. We have no governing body. Each ecclessia is independent. Yes, we do give out tracts and magazines world wide for free. The Dawn publication house in Chicago prints and sends out massive amounts of tracts around North America. Most of these get translated and sent to printers in many different countries around the world. The Associated Bible Students of Central Ohio (ABSCO) send out a bi-monthly magazine for free to whoever subscribes to it, as well as a digital version for emails. There are many websites run by individuals or ecclessias. The Chicago Bible Students have one, ABSCO has one, and there are many more. List of some: www.chicagobible.org/ www.biblestudents.com/ www.agsconsulting.com/ www.ctrussell.us/ www.biblestudentarchives.com/ And there are many more, even in different languages and countries. This difference between JWs and Bible Students, as I have been told by ex-JWs, is that you are told what you can and cannot read by your governing body. I have been told that you have been forbidden to read the original six volumes of Studies in the Scriptures, by C.T. Russel. These books were the foundation of the original Bible Students. You have been forbidden to research your own organization's history beyond the material that they have given to you. When you are baptized, you are baptized into your organization instead of into Christ. Most Bible Students still have hope for a heavenly prize, while the JWs believe that the door to the high calling is closed. We are allowed to explore our own ideas. We are allowed to question things. If a JW questions what your governing body tells you, he will be excommunicated. There are some big differences between us. Please correct me if I am wrong about anything.

My mom is a JW apologist and doesn't even grasp their duplicity. I have brought up the history of the jws to her, along with the problems with the ideology and theology of the cult. She then asked the elders and their answer was that Charles t. Russel was still learning. That it is proof of Jehovah's divine plan that the witnesses are so willing to adapt to the "new light." They don't see it as them saying God got anything wrong, or that the governing body is admitting that God gave them incomplete or false information. It floors me that people can speak out of both sides of their mouths and are blind to their own ignorance.

User "afterraincomessun" You do not allow for replies on your comments. If you continue writing comments but blocking replies, I will have to delete your comments. I agree on the flag, but it should be according to conscience, not imposed by a group of men. As for my "double standards" so called. The Watchtower has wrong teachings to begin with and when they change them, it's still wrong teachings and often to camouflage lies and false prophecies. For instance: 1) The invisible return of Christ was taught as being 1874, then 1914. Both false dates, so I expose it. Other example: 2) The generation of Matt 24:34 was changed so many times and all times were false teachings. The final one is the governing body taking sole power. The Watchtower doesn't really teach about Christ. Christ is more of a side step to them. They really glorify the organization (the Watchtower) and elevate themselves to Christhood. The governing body are liars inserting themselves into the Bible as the "anointed". They were NEVER chosen by Christ in 1919. This is all an invention from a bunch of self glorifiers. The Bible speaks of coming to Christ, not to an organization. Read the NWT along WITH an other version and when you see a difference, look it up in an interlinear Greek-English version. Study to show yourself approved (the Bible, not the Watchtower)

I don't understand why people are so negative about people who are kind towards one another. Why not try looking into it in a positive perspective for once? If you really compare them from all other religions, they don't try to gain any monetary benefit of any sort. I don't think you'd find any organisation that is just as them. Try to understand it for yourself. I think all the questions can be answered in the website. www.jw.org/en/jehovahs-witnesses/faq/changed-bible-beliefs/ www.jw.org/en/publications/books/jehovahs-will/who-are-jehovahs-witnesses/

Joseph Moon No money benefit of any sort?. Their holdings in Brooklyn alone total over $500,000,000..The subtle way they ask for JW's to leave bequeaths, trusts, wills etc to the Watchtower society..I laughed at the latest Watchtower (June 2, 2014) "God's view on smoking". When they have been caught out taking profits from the tobacco industry, via a trust willed to the Watchtower @ Bible Tract Society..Many people are kind toward each other without joining fraudulent organisations. Point out proofs of their hypocrisy, JW's aint so friendly. One local elder was adamant that the United Nations is the Beast of Revelation, slowly gaining in power until they can turn on world religion-in particular arresting and putting to death JW's..I pointed out that the JW's joined the UN as an NGO back in the '90's. When rank-and-file Witnesses found out, the WTBTS first denied it, then when cornered with proof, admitted it but only to 'join the UN library'..They basically admitted that the research for their articles comes from the same organization that is planning to destroy them!. Which brings their false prophecy that Jesus came 'invisibly' in 1914..Their date springs from the 2nd fall of Jerusalem. Only the Witnesses claim Jerusalem fell on X date, when all other historians agree on the status quo date..Where do the JW's get their erroneous history dates from? They won't tell you as they make claims, without providing references as to what fact they base their claims on..your jw.org is the only site Witnesses are allowed on anyway!. It's because the JW leadership knows that their cult can't stand simple research and fact-checking..hence their instruction to their congregation to avoid 'wicked' and 'worldly' sites..Doesn't matter that their whole lives are based on deceit and false Christianity, as long as they are "kind to one another"..eh?. Do your elders know you are on here posting crap in their defence?..

Let me start by saying I'm not a witness. But the witnesses over the years have made progress in more biblical teachings more so than any other Church. There are churches that have made mistakes doctrinal mistakes over the years and continue to teach that false Doctrine. What the witness organization nowadays it's totally different than at the beginning stages. I studied with the Witnesses in the past and gone too many other churches and no matter what I always go back to the witnesses because they have more truth and their beliefs than any other Church.

I attended many different denominational churches and have studied bible bible extensively.Tell what church you attend if you attend if any?and i teach of their false teaching in real time,in other word what the teach today not 40 or 100 years ago. When i started my walk with the lord i made many doctrinal mistakes.I now feel i've corrected them just like the JWs,now most churches in Christendom have made many mistakes in the pass and continue making mistake.allow me to show you your church fault since you like putting the truth down.

ZOAR Zoar I wish you very good luck in the afterlife my man. Matthew 7:14 says "14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." God bless you. John 14:6

Whew! A tremendous amount of work went into this video. Thank you. Is there a place where one can go to examine the writings themselves. Perhaps to make copies as well. I could not find any of the older failed prophecy writings on the online library of JW.org itself. Why take a name of "TheScrewedGeneration?" It seems you are doing more to create a "FreedGeneration." Or does it refer to those in bondage within the JW organization itself? Just wondering. Grace, peace and love.

There are some scans available on the internet if you desire to check them out: www.strictlygenteel.co.uk/ www.a2z.org/wtarchive/archive.htm#Russell The Screwed Generation is dedicated to those who were screwed by the cult when they were informed that they would not die before Armageddon hits. This generation [of 1914] will not pass away!

Curtis, this poster is mental. No there isn't an official place to examine any of this because it's a false interpretation. The JW constantly maintain and weed out many immoral practices. There followers used to be allowed to smoke early in the days and then they examined a scripture "The body is your temple..." and took a stand against it. The poster of this video will argue that they change their minds about that but the light shows itself with time and all they do is try to be the best they can. I was one, i know for a fact their intentions are the utmost positive ones. I've never been happier in my life. I left the "little flock" due to fornication and decided to live in this perverse world and it's all crap. I'd rather be with the friends again but it's a hard and embarrassing road back. I'm always encouraged by my family and some friends. They are great people just trying to do good. The money the organization makes is not spent personally by any of the members what so ever. It's to build and build and build local "congregations" throughout the entire world. It's the only religion to gain and gain and gain more followers every year. You can visit the headquarters in Brooklyn NY and ask to tour the place. You'll immediately feel welcomed, respected, treated completely different than anywhere you've ever been on earth. Trust me, I've been there. I've eaten from the table of good and evil and I recommend everyone take a free bible lesson and adapt the way these people live. It's healthy, it's moral, it's beautiful.

Eric4director- Are you now outside the Watchtower society? Have you discontinued studying Holy Scripture. If you have, I would encourage you to resume. As you study the Holy Scripture, the Holy Spirit will open your eyes and heart and understanding in ways that would surprise you. I myself, after witnessing to another, accepted an invitation to study the Bible. After scrutinizing what the Watchtower Society says, I have found that that there are some seriously false doctrines. One doctrine may be more politically motivated while another is more manipulative. Many doctrines are in agreement with mainstream Christianity. I don't know anything about how the Watchtower spends the money it takes in. I have heard recently that it has been broken into three corporations instead of the one. That's about it for Watchtower Society finances. That being said, I do not doubt the sincerity of the membership nor do I doubt their love of God. I do have serious about the leadership. I will leave you with this one thought: There are many people outside of the Jehovah's Witnesses who live moral, healthy and beautiful lives.
