Sand dune leading down into water. Interesting combination. Nice shot!

every footstep we take leaves it's mark in another photographer's composition, unavoidable in surroundings like this. your reflective image was great considering the difficulties. thanks for the upload

In another's photographer's image or in your own compositions too actually. :-) It's challenging, but it's fun. Thanks for watching.

Wonderful video thanks for sharing. I head to the beach quite a lot here on the Gold Coast of Australia. My poor tripod does suffer......I too now avoid changing lens when I am on the sand.....look forward to your next upload

Thank you Dianne. A tripod without any sand in it, is a tripod that hasn't lived. :-D My next video is coming soon. It's more sand dunes, but completely different.

Well, that's why landscape photography is difficult and especially in the desert. I always say this in my videos. Nice capture and what's important is that you got out there and gave it shot. Don't let it disappoint you and enjoy it.

Hey George. Thanks for watching. I was not that disappointed. Time is never wasted when you are out shooting. And my second visit to the dunes turned out very different... More on that in my next vlog. ;-)

Christophe Van Biesen glad to hear that. Looking forward to it.

Great video Christophe - I really didn't realise there were sand dunes like this on the Canary islands. Very beautiful location to shoot
@ChristopheVanBiesen7 жыл бұрын
Thank you James. I did not know about them either before going there and researching interesting locations on the island.

Thank you Tony. I did indeed shoot very little that morning. But my second visit to the dunes was entirely different... More on that in the next video. ;-)

Really enjoyed this video. Great videography work man. Really interesting location because unlike the Mesquite Sand Dunes. You’re close to a large body of water. Too bad about the foot prints but you still managed to get a nice image. Will check out the other videos.

Thanks Diego. It's a nice location, although with the all the people visiting, it's challenging. I believe I enjoyed the tranquility of the Mesquite Sand Dunes more. BUT I got luckier on my second visit to the Maspalomas Dunes. That video is going live tomorrow. Cheers mate.

Christophe Van Biesen oh will be on the look out. Something about hiking through dunes that’s so unlike any other environment. Brought me so much peace and tranquillity.

Hi Christophe. Thanks for the excellent video. I was in Maspalomas last year and had the same challenges re footprints... I'm going back again this summer and I was interested to see that you captured some drone footage. I'm planning on taking my drone with me, but the Spanish laws against drones are really strict with very high fines. I'd be really interested to know if you had any issues whilst you were there. Looking forward to see where else you go on the island. There's loads of potential, especially with a drone:-)
@ChristopheVanBiesen7 жыл бұрын
Hi Andrew. Thanks. I had no issues at all with the drone.

Thanks Christophe. That's good to hear. Although the laws are very strict, it doesn't sound as if they are very strictly implemented. Hopefully I'll not have any issues either.

I've noticed you, like many, have the red button on the shutter button. Is this for any specific purpose? Starting to wonder if it helps weather seal that screw in plug?

it will be so funny if someone will run from the top strait to the water :-)

Glad you didn't have any scorpions grab your tootsies going barefoot in the sand. 😉
@ChristopheVanBiesen7 жыл бұрын
Glad about that too, although I'm not even sure if there are any scorpions. Although I did encounter some traces of snakes.
