Snooker peaked in early 2000. In terms of top 16. The overall top 100 is stronger now but there’s no star talent coming through that’s why it’s people in 40s winning everything

It takes huge mental strength to withstand Selby's pace when he is behind. He intentionally slows down the game even in easy shots to play with your nerves. Just introduce a shot clock for a the big ranking events and see him drop to 80th place

Ronnie wants this game. You can tell. He's on it this year. Ronnie's composure, and overall temperament is top notch. It's all about the shot time. He's taking an extra half second to think about his shot. His action is measured and complete. Everyone wants to best Selby. But Ronnie's got the added advantage of beating his nemesis and playing with style and experience in one of his favourite tournaments. Imagine ronnie , in his 50's after all he's been through playing out of his skin and winning loads of tournaments against new generation after new generation. Ron could wipe the floor with this game until they put him in a wheelchair. With his experience there can't be a more knowledgeable person in the game past or present. Well done Ron. Do t care about the final, don't care if its just another notch, I'm well impressed with your mind mate.

Not to mention the fact that it's on the curriculum in many schools in China, not counting the numerous academies producing hoards of professionals in the top 150. Plus, there's this new fangled thing called television where events (gasp) get broadcast in China and get millions of viewers. You sound as thick as them if you believe what you wrote.

Most top players don't play in world open and wuhan open as it's to close to English open and you get a big bonus if you can win all 4 home nation events! Someone obviously has the IQ of a child
