Wow that was helpful guys! I am planning my first ever salt water trip as I started just three years ago with fly fishing and will go to Maledives too or los roques. Nice overall video guys! You have covered a lot of ground. Maybe one thing has been overlooked a bit. And that is line management while wading. Do you use any stripping baskets, line trays etc?

you should definitely take a can of nivea creme.. any tights will do

12wt isn't enjoyable to cast, 8wt is sufficient for giant trevally unless you heavily rely on rod power while fighting it.
