Since its not explained in the anime here are the conditions for chrollo to steal an ability if you want to know them Chrollo must witness the Nen ability in action with his eyes. He must ask questions about Nen and be answered by the victim. His victim's palm must touch the handprint on the cover of Bandit's Secret. All of the above must be completed within one hour. And if the owner of the ability dies then chrollo loses the ability too

@@howkit9028 I dont think it was a case of not thinking. He has to change his conditions in order to make them work. That makes the ability harder to use.

It isn't everything fake, the Zoldycks were fighting for real agaisnt Chrollo because they were hired to, Chrollo was restraining himself since he was not for the kill because he needs the victim alive to keep the ability.

I know its late but the one thing that feels weird to me is when kurapika get the kurta eyes he has his chains exposed then the host announced that his from nostrade family to get the scarlet eyes but paku and the troupe members doesnt care.

Guys, if you have completed the anime then kindly read chapter 351-357 of hxh manga. You can read those chapters separately because it doesn't affect the story before or after. It's a fight between hisoka and chrollo and it's the best shonen fight ever. Never ever I read a manga 10 times just to get the grasp of what was the strategy of a fight. Chrollo was on God mode.
