Exenous means outsider. I never heard it used to mean half breed or unprivileged or woke.

Actually, tbh, it seems a bit accusatory. Are you accusing people of being cruel or slanderous if they use that word? Are you saying the word should be verboten?

I’ve been called “xenos”. It is used in many contexts to identify people who are “unacceptable” or “unwelcome”

@@FaithEncouragedTV I’m very sorry. I’ve never heard it used that way. One of my grandmothers would actually use the word for my American friends but she would also call them “hermophe “:(how to spell ?) which means beautiful. So to my thinking I equate “beautiful “ and “outsider” as sort of….you know…. foreign or exotic. I’m so sorry you’ve been offended. Much love.

@@FaithEncouragedTV the first time I heard that word was in the movie my big fat Greek wedding. The hilarious scene where Gus the Greek dad is going crazy because his daughter is going out with Ian a non-Greek “an xeno with big, long, hair on top of his head” 😂

@@mickkali lol yes! Oh my that movie was so incredibly accurate. Importing the band? lol. It happens although usually they just need to travel from another state but yes…that is how the term is used. The fact that the father grows to deeply love his “foreigner” son-in-law , I thought, showed that it was not hatred or animosity. It was a stand offishness coming from a group who is in the minority and seeing the majority as “foreigners “. It’s cute….i thought.
