Hey Ynse, long time no see. Hope you had a great growing season! Let me know how you like the drip long term for certain things such as moist lovers in bark, that might be a thing to try after moss. Personally I was trying a watersystem with a pump this last year for my skadis board where I keep my bulbo's. The best thing about that you can adjust the watering times very easily which seems very needed. In my experience the constant drip/ wick method will create much too wet a medium if used on full moss (as you saw after just 12 hours) but with this system I can say 3x a day 10 seconds, or every other day, or once a week 15 minutes, etc. depending on the plants you have. I found with weather conditions changing it is nice to be able to adjust in the app as for example much warmer and dryer weather does require a bit more water than cold and humid so as the season changes I only have to visually check the wetness level of the mount and take a few seconds off the watering times. It takes a bit of finetuning when first set up, but for us it was worth the hassle, saving me so much time and the health of my bulbo's is for sure increasing! I have 12 plants hooked up to it and it is working great! I was really excited to finally find an automated method that seems to work, I don't want to count the amount of self watering methods I had to trash after a few months of trying

I have a larger system but that takes a lot of tubing and stuff and it needs a pump, but I'm busy with the cool room so maybe I could use it there. This bag is to much work and like you said it keeps the plants too wet, a timer would be ideal 😁

Interesting

But not really workable 😁 I would need 50 of these just for the mounts

That was funny😂😂😂. But could be a nice solution, when hoing on hollyday! If someone have some very thirsty plants. With my 40 mounts i stick with my buurvrouw.😊

I hate when that happens. Sorry about the bud. I am keen to see how the IV drip method is working...genius idea I think.

I repeated the trick with my Catasetum it had 6 buds......now it has 5 😁drip doesn't work, plants get to wet because it keeps dripping, it could work with a timer but than you need a different system

Nice experiment, like you said, could work if you’re going on a vacation.

And only have two plants 😁I would need at least 30 just to water the mounts 75 if I do them all this way

There are more buds on this one, but the one I broke was a week from opening.

Unless you were going to be away, it seems as if settling it up for many mounts would be more trouble than it’s worth the effort.
@YnseSchaapАй бұрын
Way too much trouble and it keeps dripping, so too much water

did you just say the f word? I am a wholesome Christian woman and such language is an affront to my nature. I need to go pray for at least 6 hours now.

I knew you were pretending, I also knew this would draw you out 😁
