The Pikes Peak version of Ducati's Multistrada 1260 comes with full Öhlins suspension. Remember, it's a dual sport with long travel suspension and, despite the Öhlins, you still might be better than what the upgraded suspension kit can handle.

Thank you for all your shared knowledge dave! I recently bought a 2020 Multistrada 950 and went through the suspension set up process (Preload Set-Up for Sag, Compression and Bounce-Tests) after binge watching basically all your videos. From your expertise, do you recall the Multi 950 Forks and Shock to be rather soft? I'm about 96kg 192cm and with preload turned ALL the way in to the max I still get a rider sag of about 70mm, static sag being around 40mm. Same goes for front and back adjustments.

Thank you for being an avid student. Yes, the rear shock is disproportionally soft compared to the forks and the spring needs to be changed to a stronger rate for most riders. There are many threads to review on the 950 stock suspension and upgrades. Race Tech may have fork and shock springs and if not, Cannon Racecraft probably has some as they make custom springs.

@@catalystreactionsbwthank you for your feedback! With rebound being at 2 clicks out of fully closed, wouldn’t upgrading to a stiffer spring only make the rebound worse as it’s already struggling with a weaker spring? So the only option would be a complete shock upgrade

@@rpctv7207 You are correct, the shock needs to be serviced with 10w shock oil right away before the spring is installed. There is a more expense option of revalving the rear shock to create an immediate and best ROI on your $$ but not sure if that is in your budget.
