Sorry everyone, we had some Technical issues with Part.2 and can no longer release it :(

That's unfortunate, still thanks for this one, helped a lot. Btw. I'd even watch a technically flawed pt. 2 of this :-D

Looks fun! I have a Make Noise 0-ctrl and 0-coast that are like a mini Rene/Pressure points Shared System. Now I want a full v2 shared system with rene v2.

Thanks for this clear and very thorough walkthrough and detailed explanation of this powerfully deep sequencer. I need to watch it a few times to really grasp everything and obviously need to get my hands on one to really begin to understand it, but I definitely feel more comfortable now approaching it. I’m fairly new to Modular, one very basic question though, not really related to René though, which eludes me. When you have a sequencer like this and send v/Oct to an oscillator, then send gates out to an envelope, what module or type of module is good for envelopes for this sort of sequencer. I mean I guess I have a hard time figuring out what I need for that. My basic understanding is the envelope shapes the attack and decay of a sound. But with a sequencer it seems you’d need several so each voice could have its own dedicated envelope. Or is this limited to essentially triggering only two different simultaneous voices (one for X one for Y)? Sorry if this question seems ignorant 😅

Can you change the gate length of the notes, or are they all the same? Could I for instance have quarter notes and then have a longer, half note in my sequence?

Great intro to new Rene thanks! Don’t want to sound like a stuck record - but any chance we could see part 2 soon?

You mentioned "increasing the complexity of your clock input". That was my favorite part. What module did you use to do that?

What I dont understsnd is that in a quantize mode you select the notes with touch buttons on the right for the melody. Scales and stuff. Ok. But why not with the 16 potmeters on the left? It does the same. Then what is different? Thx

Also, forgive my ignorance on the subject, but along with Rene, what are the other bare minimum modules I would need to make a stand alone polyrhythm machine, similar to say a Moog Subharmonicon? I’m thinking a VCO, VCA, VCF, and an EG? If I wanted to fit such a machine in 104hp what would you suggest?

hello, thanks - where is y channel gate output going?

What envelope generator and VCA are you tapping into? 3:39

More than likely to be MN Maths and the MN LPG.

So why do we need c mode? Seems it goes randomly up and down... Tell me the case where I can use c mode.
@snoom_leo5 жыл бұрын
@suanshine it isn't random. it determines the sequence based on the location of both the x and y signals which are operating on separate clocks. at least that is how i understood it. hope this helps

Great video! I can’t seem to figure out how to make certain steps muted on my sequencing( and i mean muted not skipped). Anybody know?
@kaaraosa6 жыл бұрын
By disabling steps from the gate section, am i right ? Like he does in the video
@reverseetc6 жыл бұрын
@@kaaraosa That disables the gates but isn't true mute (which i don't think exists). If the note is still resonating, you'll hear it change. My workaround on this is to change muted notes to the same CV as the previous gated note.
@Hornbes5 жыл бұрын
You can disable the step in the access menu and then set the access function to sleep. This will cause Rene to “sleep” on the step before the skipper step. Sleep is a global setting so all other steps with access disabled will also sleep. You can not mix sleeping and skipping.
