I put a MG in my OG shared system .. the CV bus .. elite modular case (the good one).. landed up going back to the PG. MG too many button combos .. PG is just so much fun

Im not clear on the sound source part. Does any of the modules store files/sampling? Or is a temporary buffer thing? I get that its processing external audio, but the rest of it seems unclear. But i def would live to have this set up

@@InFamousProductions Morphagene is the sampler which has samples of the piano etc, getting sent to Spectraphon. There is a few modules that can be sound sources like Qpas and Mimeophon when pinged by Rene gate etc.

@@Indianabones007 your knowledge is impressive. I've got a small modular set up, but nothing deep like this. I have a ton of semi modulars and hardwired synths, but it's obvious that this system takes it out of the pre wired world. Not to say I can't get some infinite sounds out of the DSI Pro 2 for instance, but there are other universes to explore. Now I just have to sell someones kids to get this set up hahah

Vastly different forms of synthesis in the MN semi modular trio, so no, you won’t be able to make similar creations with them. Though you can still come up with amazing sounds with the trio. 😉

Yes, as stated above, the methodology and sound would be quite different. The Big Three would also make a great studio tool in the same fashion, but would have a different flavor from the ReSynthesizer.

Generally it's better to have more modulation than more sound sources - and between the Morphagene and Spectraphon there's already tons of sound here, oriented around a particular concept that doesn't really require XPO to bring to fruition. Don't worry, plenty of patch demonstrations to come, and in fact the last several videos on the channel are already using the ReSynthesizer. I would REALLY like to get your guys new 7U case. (I hate mine and won’t use any other their products ever again)…but your case comes up shy on power for the modules I have. Any possibilities of more powerful case in the future?

I just can't get my noodle around the graphics of the modules. It looks a mess to me and a real turn off, I understand the modules are working in different areas to the normal traditional historical options so I guess it's to be expected, I seem to remember someone produced new overlays to some Make Noise modules I wonder how far they progressed?

If you don't have some friends with a modular synth, then visit a shop that does or better yet, borrow or rent one. Make Noise make these smaller semi-modular stand alone units, consider getting one or two, & 2nd hand is a good option to buy, try & figure out if something fits or needs to find a new home.
