Excellent tutorial, I am returning to Autocad after 20 years (last used Autocad 12) and these tutorials have helped to me to get up and running. Thanks. I have one question though. I did my dimensions and they show in Autocad and in the PDFs but not on the actual plot. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Once upon a time you could copy a dimension from another drawing and just paste it into the current drawing. Now there's an import and export routine required which I find confusing. Could you show an example of that please? This video is a little fast for beginners I think but o.k. for those of us who have been cad people since DOS days. Thanks.

Loved this video series, but have a quick question. I understand Annotative styling in reference to what size a dimension or leader will print in paper space, but my dimensions show up tiny in model space. Is there an option to change the on-screen display size for dimensions? Or even better, to have them show at the same scale as your paper space so they can be spaced out correctly in model space (or should this be left to paper space anyway)? Thanks!

I have an assignment in class and the teacher wants us to put four different parts in one drawing and they're at different scales. The text sizes keep conflicting. They're either too big or too small. I can get them to scale fine when i create different viewports with different scales but in model space they're all one scale and like i said either too large or too small. Is there away around this or is the teacher asking us to do something impossible? We were given an example a previous student did and they seemed to figure it out or created different text styles? HELP PLEASE!!! VERY FRUSTRATING.

It's funny how autocad lets you use annotative text inside of dimstyles also defined as annotative and everything works out ok, but if you use annotative attributes inside blocks that are declared annotative things break down miserably

Hello! And many thanks for the video series. My question is, that as I am not using Architectural (inches and feet) style while creating drawings. Instead I use mm dimensions. I also draw all things in 1:1 scale in Model area. I make printouts with scale functionality. So that means, when I do make printouts, my drawings will be scaled only on Layout area. It means, I do not need any dimension scaling at all. There fore I ask which way is the best way set up Text Style and Dim Style to use it most effectively? I am asking this, because I am about to refresh and re setup my drawing template to make it more effective and clean it from scrap, which have been inside it as leftovers by years of working with architectural drawing and production blueprints. Waiting Your feedback, K.

These videos just get funnier and funnier for some reason. Thanks for creating this series. Learned more in this series for free than I did at school.
