Question: Can we smash GPU particles together and make god particles? If it spawns more than one will we spark the apocalypse?

Don't you feel sad after finishing each of Zack's tutorials like, *sigh* we must part ways again and then you start another tutorial and the loop continues

Hi! I am new to Unreal Engine. I have created a smoke particle system for my project. I want the particles of the smoke to only flow/move inside an assigned mesh also which should be invisible. The motive is to give the particle system a defined path and not to move anywhere out of it. can anyone point me in the right direction?

not working in 4.24, it never changes matter what distance you set

Isn't there a way of tessellating particle effects? As LoD just looks plain bad.
@thejhambi10 жыл бұрын
You know the LoD can be literally anything right? You could make it be exactly the same settings even. There is nothing inherently making it look bad - it looks however you want it to. If you were using a mesh emitter particle system you could set the mesh up to tessellate within the material it is using, so in that way you could tessellate a particle.

madgamer2000 How would I go about doing that?
@thejhambi10 жыл бұрын
Michael Walsh In this video series there is one on using a mesh emitter particle setup. Check that out. In the part where he sets up the material for it, you would do something similar except you would want to enable tesselation and set up the proper world displacement and tesselation nodes. Here is a video from the UE4wiki showing how to setup an adjustable tessellation material: wiki.unrealengine.com/Distance_Based_DX11_Tesselation_-_Video
