Hello and welcome to Magic Motherhood; my name is Chloé and I'm a stay-at-home mum from Hampshire, UK. I'm hoping to share all things motherhood here, from the magical moments to the "what have I done?!" moments. I currently have one daughter, who was born in November 2021, and live with her, my husband and our two dogs.

Do you mind sharing how many nappies you have all together? I like that you said you have enough for all the different reasons; emergency, on the go and between washing and ready to use. Loved your video!

I think I have 50+ at this point 🙈 But realistically you can get by with around 25 plus 5/6 night nappies if you want to cloth at night. And thank you!

@Magic Motherhood That makes me feel a bit better. I just bought a big haul of all sorts of brands either All-in-2, Covers or Pockets. I still have several more I wanted to buy. That'll put us at 40, not counting the flats and Woolies.

We got a bunch of the bambino mio nappies and some of the Aldi own brand ones. They worked great for a short while, but then we started to get leaks often, sometimes a couple of times a day. We tried some boosters that helped that, but then I think we just went back to disposable for the ease of them. I am hoping to get them out again in the spring/summer time and give them another go. It seems a waste to have them sitting there gathering dust!

Ah yes I imagine they need boosting with something really absorbent, as the mio/Aldi nappies have microfibre inserts. Microfibre absorbs quickly but not very much!

@@magic_motherhood We tried out some hemp, cotton and a hemp/cotton mix. They all did really well! :) No leaks with those!
