The ancient Africans taught about the heart, it was the most important organ and the seat of the soul. It was shown in art weighed against a feather after embalming to determine path in the afterlife.

Excellent presentation of HM Jennifer. As a fellow certified HM clinician i truly appreciate your efforts at putting together a simple and logical pathway through the material for folks that may be new to the science and interested in learning. For those who question if HM is pseudoscience there is no basis for this statement.....HM has over 30 years of meticulous research experience upon which its techniques are based and many studies have been published in reputable journals and this research is available for the general public to review. So I love everything about this thus far but there’s one thing at the end that I do not like and I have to mention in it because of my heart math and caring too much about humans. I love how you put together the slides and went through each step explaining with enthusiasm. Overall this video was very well done, no shakiness or unevenness no choppy transitions. Great work. I don’t like or agree with the smart phone attachments. What do our smart phones do? They learn they study and they control. They are for our convenience and short cuts allowing us to essentially get to instant gratification sooner with less time and obstacles. What we do not notice is our convenience has cost us our freedom of choice. The more it learns the less we know. I do not want anything having power over my physiology other than myself. Can you imagine the phone having control over our heart rythm sand our emotions? That’s where this is going. I know it sounds crazy but just be mindful what apps we allow in our hearts and minds keep smart phones from learning about what keeps our personal physiological beings in homeostasis. Please💓

Thank you so much for sharing the actual techniques, Jennifer 🙏🏼 I have found a lot of videos explaining the concepts and principles behind the HeartMath research, but not much about the actual practical application. They typically mention one can use their techniques, but they don’t actually describe them. Your video was super helpful in that regard. One thing I’m still not sure about is how do those monitoring apps and devices they sell help with actually getting into the state of coherence? I get that they indicate whether you’re in it or not (or to what degree), but do they actually help with reaching coherence?
@jennifermayph.d.27616 ай бұрын
Thanks for your kind note. I guess that the phone apps and equipment are a form of biofeedback. So when you see that you are in coherence, you can see what that feels like and try to do it more.
@patmat36086 ай бұрын
I see. So the benefit is knowing what coherence experientially feels like. The app doesn’t “do” anything per se to help us reach that state.

It is hard to find paid clients but trying my best. @ChristaL-rj6up9 ай бұрын
I don’t agree that there are “negative emotions” and “positive emotions”. Ever anger and fear have survival functions and so are positive. I think “depleting” and “rejuvenating” are better terms. A depleting emotion activates the sympathetic system and a rejuvenating emotion, such as love or gratitude, activates the parasympathetic system.

The content was excellent but I have to be honest: I couldn't hang in there with the countless "rights and okays" which are really bad public speaking habits. It's akin to professional presenter saying "you know" a lot or being interviewed and using that phrase repeatedly. You have a lot of likes and listeners so maybe I am overly tuned into this, or they're being too nice to mention it. We can all improve our craft by listening or watching our performance on video and receiving constructive criticism. So thank you for your sharing but try to drop so many of those same phrases...
