Hey Dave! Thanks for all of your videos. Super helpful. We have rigged a few characters with body tracking, but the characters arms are glitchy/twitchy. When working to adjust the sensitivity, the rigging causes the arms to pop up at like 45 degrees at a resting position. Have you seen this or heard of it? Any suggestions possibly?
@okaysamurai2 жыл бұрын
With any body tracking character I do, I have to do a lot of adjustments in the Limb IK and Body parameters. If the arms are looking weird in a resting position (45 degrees instead of to your sides), usually adjusting calibration (we recommend starting in an A position when calibrating, but you can try other poses and see if they work any better) or which body handles are tracked helps to fix it. We have also internally discussed about wanting to add a "smoothness" parameter to body tracking to ideally smooth some of the twitchiness out of it. Hope that helps...If the problem persists, please upload a video to the official forums at adobe.com/go/chfeedback so we can take a closer look.

Great course - thank you very much! I've installed this program several times, but could never get started and figure out the workflow, but now your videos are allowing me to do that. I use Vyond for client work, but CH allows me to do so much more, especially having the rest of the adobe suite. Vyond is pretty good for a web-based program, but I always have to bring it into PR and sometime do frame-by-frame animation to get the results I need. Seems like a waste to pay for it when I already have CH as part of my subscription. Cheers

Hi, is there a feature to link a layer to another layer that is not the same group like in After Effect? for example Layer A is linked to Layer B, so when I drag the Layer A then the Layer B will follow... I want to separate upper arm and the lower arm, so the upper arm will be behind the body, and the lower arm will be in front of the body and face.. but currently they are not linked even I tagged it as 'shoulder' 'elbow' 'wrist' since it not in the same group

Thankyou for the tutorial - 2 questions. 1) I want to animate a fork lift - not a person / face. It looks like it is possible to turn off the camera / voice thing as I don't think that is going to be relevant for my plan. 2) Do we have to record the animation 'live' as such or can I start with a start scene, then create an end scene for CA to complete the move by creating the extra frames? To put this in context I wish to show a fork life from one side, have it lift the forks and load up, then tilt mast, forks and load backwards in one - leaving the body of the truck where it is. I've done something like this using photoshop to create the layers, then Cyberlink to animate - just wondered if Character Animator can be made to do the same? Many thanks, Steev
