Ive played maybe 5 games so far and actually *finished* them. On my potato computer I have to limit the game to 30fps.. I play on console mostly so it doesnt bother me not having 60+fps. I still love this game. This one time our column driver in a logi truck drove us off a bridge some how and flipped the truck. We had to get our tank crew to flip our truck over so we could drive it out of the creek/river. We got rpg'd soon after. So far its been the funniest and best moment ive had with a random group of people.

I've been watching your videos for over 6 months without even owning Squad.. or even a gaming PC.. I was desperate to play and found out GeForce now can support Squad to be played on my macbook!! (this is not supposed to be a sponsored comment lol) Picked up a cheap gaming keyboard and mouse and it literally works perfectly even at high res settings!!! Revisiting all of your videos now that I'm able to play.. Just wanted to say thanks for creating all this content. It's really helpful and it is seriously the nicest community ever.. First game was a huge invasion game completely full of players.. I walked up to my Squad leader who was building a Mortar and he was like.. "Wanna shoot it?" I felt like a little kid hahaha. Maybe I'll see ya in a game one day.

last night was my second time playing, slowly weening off dayz to play this as well. I was attacking an enemy FOB with my squad, we had a team leader who wouldn't mark or tell us what he wanted. So i just started calling out, Enemy 81 degrees off my position! I started calling out locations as I slowly crawled closer into enemy territory. I saw so many of my team mates just running into fire. I really wish i knew how to do all the team leader stuff. They guys started asking me what to do, all i wanted to do was get markers on the enemy positions. I laid in this dark patch picking the enemy off for a while, but if i had a marker we would have destroyed them. really digging this game, feel like im going to be playing a lot more. i just need to learn all the mil speak too. i dont want to be the guy like "yu dude, theres a guy over there" hahaha

Really love this game. Have been hooked. You definitely went over all of the necessary basics. Also, don't be afraid to let your squad/team members know that you don't know how to do a certain action or what a certain callout/item is. The community really is very helpful and will let you know how things work. And lastly, please use your mic. Teamwork is what this game is all about!

Just an update on the logi system you now have to hold f and select pick up the supplies you want or drop them off instead of the left click right click system. You can do this from inside the logi or from the outside looking at it.

When I first started a friend recommended the CI server to me and I've been playing in there almost every day since despite the 10-20 player queues to get in, it's just such a good community and you eventually start to recognise a lot of the players which is something I really enjoy

if you are having trouble with american vs desert russian, I can just say it will take time. Some people recommend looking at their backpacks or sunglasses but honestly it just comes with playing for a bit.

Yeah, this can be an issue for every new player really, between American and desert russian camos, I can tell by the fact that the russians tend to have a brighter hue, and kinda give off a pinkish glow when in daylight. When it comes to militia vs green russian camo, militia have a bit more variance in their outfit like a super-slav Adidas jacket, but generally most of the time you won't see them with a helmet on and usually like a balaclava and a cap instead. At the end of the day, as you keep playing, you will familiarize yourself to them, and it will be easier to identify targets.

We got new players in this game, but not just any new players. We got players who weren’t prepare for this game, don’t know what they were getting in to. It used to be the whole entire server got mic talking, communicating, and everything. If we lose we lose with a good fight. Right now I sometimes wander if players even care to win. Just in my opinion the discount and the attention toward other player base is a very risky move. Squad, arma and insurgency are very different game and played by a very different player base, (milsim) Most of the new players came from games like battlefield or even cod who are players part of competitive player base. I’m not trying to trash on competitive player base but they need to understand what they are getting into before they spend 40 bucks on a game they can’t enjoy.

Also if you hear words "hold Spawn" means that if your dead or died. Don't spawn. Your sq lead is probably some other plans in mind or he is having a new info or orders from com channel. Also when you join the game and if the staging phase is just ended call you sq lead that you will hold spawn until they have made a rally or HAB. I have noticed and did this myself as newbie that i just spawned in main if i missed the staging. Then ended up being alone in Main whitout transport. So sometimes it's important to just hold the spawn and it's easier to stick whit your squad.

To be completely honest, I was one of those people who bought Squad on the summer sale along with a few other games. Ever since I bought the game, I've probably booted it up a handful of times simply because the game modes seemed too hard to understand upon coming across them in the server menu. Moidawg, when you explained at 13:00 the FOB radio, is the radius to build within that radio proximity that big? Also I wonder, after you built the HAB and all structures, what do you do with the supply truck? Do you drive it a bit back to a safer location in case you need to resupply ? Wonderful tutorial man! According to Steam I've 'played' 44 hours of Squad; approximately 38 hours of that would have been in the 'Deployment Tutorial' and 'training range'. As for the other 6 hours in the game I've tried to follow the guides and instructions that I've read/viewed. I'll introduce myself as a new player (cause that's what the guides say to do) and am met, generally, with silence. When I ask if there is a particular role the Squad Leader wants me to take it'll be something along the lines of "whatever". During staging, if I'm lucky, I'll get onto the same truck as the squad otherwise I'll have to 'hoof it' to the first location. In the early part of the game most of the talk seems to be from individuals hoping their comments will make it onto someone's KZbin video. (I concede that I've heard some very funny material in Squad banter.) The most I've heard of an actual plan though is generally no more detailed than "we're heading for such and such a place". I'm guessing that, in the midst of the noise, whoever is Squad Leader is furiously trying to come up with something without the benefit of cooperation and input of the other leaders. (Maybe future versions of Squad might include five or ten minutes where the Commander and the Squad Leaders might agree upon a plan for the whole faction to follow?) Once at 'wherever', within a few seconds, I'll get shot by someone I haven't seen and have no idea of even where the shot came from. After waiting to respawn ('cause the guides tell me to never 'Give Up') I'll spend the rest of the game trying to catch up to the squad and being killed before I get there. I've spent more time waiting to 'respawn' in Squad games than I have 'living'. As for Squad 'tactics', I see nothing even approaching the concept. No formations, no bounding, no fire and movement, no mutual support. The closest I've seen to that is the creation of fire teams, but even they seem to go off doing whatever they want. One trained squad/section (in the real world) can bring an awful lot of hurt to the enemy. Three squads working together as a platoon can dominate an untrained enemy many times their number. In Combined Arms operations, when the platoon works with air, armor and / or artillery, as is possible in 'Squad' it can be devastating. I've never seen in game 'squads' working with other squads, let alone within their own group. This game 'Squad' should be called 'Cowboys and Indians' because that describes the level of gameplay, and maturity, I've experienced in this product so far. 'Cowboys and Indians', (or 'Cops and Robbers' to avoid offending anyone) can be a fun activity but to call Squad "Squad" is false and misleading advertising. I'm just sorry I wasted my money on it.
