They are absolutely beautiful and you’ve done a wonderful job of showing the difference in the two methods of embroidering them

I've watched Your Jacobean block videos and loved them. You ask for comments about the the 'advanced' technique of adding additional wadding to increase the loft. If these designs have the OAS can you stitch the OAS (for some areas but perhaps not all) and place wadding on these areas only and restitch the OAS to secure, trim back the wadding close to the OAS, add top fabric and stitch embroidery, remove hoop from machine add full size wadding to the whole area from the back and another layer of stabiliser (that will be left in - attach with spray adhesive. Carefully re attach hoop to machine and stitch basting and the quilting stitches, finish with the satin stitches. Apologies for the long winded explanation and hope it is comprehensible.

Unfortunately quilt blocks do not come with Outline alignment stitches as I feel they are unnecessary.

I am delighted that you think so. It was very satisfying to finally achieve the look I so wanted.

Your introduction says it all on every single set I see 'Breathtakingly Beautiful'. While I love the Trapunto look I think I prefer the more flattened one, but again, it is all in the look you are trying to achieve. I could only do the 8 inch x 8 inch for my machine. Thank you for your freebie for trying it out. I, myself, am thinking that hooping the Soft & Sheer, spray adhesive then batting--high or low loft and spray baste top pretty fabric, then pinning outside of the hoop maybe. Wild guess for me.

Hazel wow those blocks are beyond magnificent. Can't wait for the release day. On your backing have you tried using water soluble mesh? I use to support my embroidery but do not have pick it out

No I haven’t tried that for this. I have used it for my Angels though and not removed it.

Please leave a comment and tell us all which machine and hoop you would be embroidering these blocks out and which method you would use.

Babylock Ellissimo and not sure which frames I would use and I will want to test the blks and see in person to decide which method to use.
