I just added two kittens to my home, and this is how I did it easily and safely. Now they are all besties. Those kittens are really keeping my senior dogs on their toes.

Hi, I already have a dog who is very jealous of other animals near him. he even doesn't like any bird to fall inside our front/backyard. Once he killed one pigeon. Recently, I got a kitten, to small. She might have been abandoned by some stranger near our house. I am afraid to introduce her to him. One bite may be deadly, but I can't keep like this forever. My dog is 11 years old and the kitten is probably 1-2 weeks old. Please let me know how shall I introduce her to him. I am afraid but very eager.

If the kitten is 1-2 weeks old, it must be bottle-fed and is extremely vulnerable. It is too small to be away from it's mother at that age. Please seek a kitten rescue group to help you.

Our kitten climbed up the baby gate no good

The baby gate does not guarantee safety. It is just an extra layer as it provides a barrier when used as an escape route for the kittens. You must monitor them very closely until the dogs and cats get used to each other.

I am thinking of getting a Siamese cat but I’m not sure if my dog will like it. My dog is a miniature poodle (13) and he doesn’t really like me or other animals. So I’m not sure about getting a cat.

It is a tough decision. Older dogs can be set in their ways. With animals, there are no magic tricks or guarantees.
