I’m so sorry to hear about Curtis’s passing. This quote was in our local paper many years ago, and I return to it in such times - "A dog's life is short, profound, in the moment, and full of unconditional love. That's why we love them so much and find it so hard to let them go.” I can tell what a joy Atticus is, and though our new pets never replace the ones we’ve lost, they fill our hearts with love and remind us about the beauty of the present.💙

I'm so sorry about Curtis. DM is heartbreaking (we lost one to it as well). It's so tough. Atticus is adorable, though, and looks like he'll grow up to be a great shepherd (if he grows into those ears).

Sympathies on the loss of your buddy, Bill. It's a tough thing to go through. Based on his wonderful ears, though, Atticus is going to be a great dog. I lost my dog this year, at the end of July. She was a rescue, 16 years old and had lived with us for 14 of those years. I said that she was going to be my last dog but a relative got a new puppy, then went into the hospital and then into hospice care and her dog needed first a temporary place to stay and then a permanent home so now I've got a very adorable lap dog. It seems like when the going gets tough a dog shows up and makes it all better again. Good luck on your trip and I'll think of you this week when I'm making salt prints and cyanotypes (5x7 negatives.)

Bill: I am so sorry about Curtis. Been there, done that. We know that it is inevitable, but it's still heart-breaking. Have a good time in Iceland! Can't believe it's been 10 years since we were there. Someday ... 🙂

I'm terribly sorry. I had to do the same thing 2 years ago come October 4th. The baby got 4 months of learning from him. Gods only flaw was the longevity of dogs....
