I learned to print in high school, around 2003. For me, multi-color screen printing has always consisted of hand-cutting films with an X-Acto knife over a design, adhering the films to screens with a solvent (ones that I'd stretch myself), and then carefully printing each color. Seeing the technology that modern pros use is so cool. Thanks for sharing!

Oh yeah. It's very cool how things have advanced over the years.

waterbased! I've never done process. but now I am compelled to try it!

Its truly a world of difference. It takes some adjusting in the process but WOW the soft hand in the end is amazing.

Very Interesting. Am guessing that for dark color tshirt we have to print a white underbase
@Ryonet7 жыл бұрын
Yes but you probably wouldn't use these inks in that case unless you used a discharge underbase. Even then results may vary. The process you are discussing is Spot Process: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJKvdqqPa7KUrqc

So each color has an angle of 22? How come some other people use different angles for different colors?

Hi, if I have water based inks and add the Ryonet Discharge Agent can I then convert those water based inks into discharge inks? Thank you.
@Ryonet7 жыл бұрын
Great question Ivan! You would need a discharge base, and agent. You can try adding water based ink for color, but it might not turn out how you expect. Who knows, it could turn out awesome! We recommend adding water based pigments.

As an illustrator, who is interested in producing small print runs of my artwork (say 400-600 prints per month, maximum size at A2) and apart from the specific tools required eg screens, screen press etc, to start of with, how many colours do you feel is a must, what specific colours do you suggest one gets and at what quantities? Normally you could produce pretty much any colour from C, M, Y .. but would it be better to buy a wider arrange of block colours, rather than mixing up colours, especially if you are still a novice at screen printing? Sorry for the lengthy question(s). Any information would be much appreciated! :)

solor process its kinda tricky and in waterbased a lil bit more personally recommend if you are begginning try yellow, blue, red, black and white and from these 5 basic color you can virtually mix every color you want, but you can try with a test prints on cmyk bot process inks it's a different type of inks so be aware, btw share your page or ig to see your prints!

Does this process change for black shirts?
@Ryonet7 жыл бұрын
It does! You would need to discharge the image area out first or go to a simulated process style job which uses different inks like these: www.screenprinting.com/cat/wilflex-epic-spot-process-inks

Can I have the same result with plastisol inks and 22.5 single dot angle and putting adittive reducer into the inks?
@Ryonet7 жыл бұрын
CMYK printing requires ink designed to be translucent for this process. There is CMYK plastisol ink, but you wouldn't get the same result with standard plastisol. And 22.5 is the standard dot angle, that would work great! : )
@MegaShaktar7 жыл бұрын
so you use 22.5 single dot angle for all colors, 55 Lpi.? It's suppose to be CMYK, should not be different angles for CMYK printing? The color setting that you use in this video it's different than this RyonetICProBrite305Mesh? Thanks a lot.
@Ryonet7 жыл бұрын
We don't adjust line angle actually. We use Accurip software, which converts and creates halftones for us, and the default angle is 22.5. We use that for all printing. When you loaded the profile it says willflex process
@Ryonet2 жыл бұрын
Hi! It does sound a little odd, but yes, that is correct. The inks were created to match the Wilflex CMYK color gamut.
