In Part II we begin to discuss how history has been distorted by the influences of Christianity and how Christianity itself was nothing like it is today.
As we continue to dig into the Earth we are unearthing history and it is not what we have been taught especially in the West. As you will see the evidence is becoming overwhelming that we know very little of our past.

I've been following this Ba'al series and I must say: You did an excellent job piecing it all together and its most enlightening! I am a former Abrahamic/Monotheist (Christianity and then as a convert to Islam) who rejected those religions and indeed their whole worldview 2 years ago. I have been studying ever since, but these problems with their historiography, that their motifs and stories were stolen from the same previous spiritual traditions they condemn as "Pagan", was one of the several reasons for my turning my back on them....Speaking of the cross symbol, we see the motifs of a crucified "savior" or a figure with outstretched arms being a very common motif all around the world. There is indeed great symbolism here that they wanted "Christ" to simply replace these previous god-figures, all the more because the idea of crucifying someone on such a T-shaped cross the way its claimed is simply impossible - its mythical, just like the others, perhaps an allegory....Yahweh was obviously conceived as a "national god", related to a specific people in a specific place, which is why all the ancient Levantine peoples seem to have the same god "El" (and his Arabic form, Allah) as the "supreme god" with the others such as Ba'al and Yahweh being his "sons" (and hence the constant phrase of "sons of God" used in the Bible).

Robyn Pruitt It was Ba'al worship that practice human sacrifice. Even to this day human sacrifice is pushed with abortion and in the Western world people unknowingly call on Ba'al when they say lord. So basically things haven't changed much from that aspect. I don't like that the narrator says because something was popular or widely used then it basically makes it right. The societies from ancient times until now have been out of order and there is a correction coming that will restore balance. I am not just talking about Christianity. It goes much deeper than that. The so called elites today practice ba'al worship. If you study about them they believe in human sacrifice and cannibalism. Robyn Pruitt The Ivri or what we call Hebrews today should not be confused with modern day Jews. If this individual you are speaking doesn't know how to make the distinction then his information is rubbish. I say that because even in the Jewish almanac it says "it is incorrect to call an ancient Israelite a "Jew" or to call a contemporary Jew an " Israelite" or a "Hebrew." Also people do not fully understand that the Ivri extended further than what we know as Israelites of the bible. Its like someone thinking that all Spanish people went to Mexico and so no where else could Spanish speakers exist. So to answer that, the Cana'anites in totality were not Ivri. However there was intermingling over time so some could have been mixed in with them. That's why it's good make a distinction when talking about the children of Israel who spoke Hebrew and others who were considered Ivri but not part of children who are spoken of in the bible. Now being that there was no J sound in any Shemitic languages I don't use the name jesus. Its roots come from the son of Zeus. The Romans worshipped Zeus and this is where that name gets it origins. It has no barring in history of the region being discussed.

I have studied religions and philosophies my entire life, and have collected an extensive library. One of my favorites is ancient Chinese. Modern Christians believe in the Trinity as being God the father, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus the son. From my studies of the I Ching and other texts, I have discovered that the very most ancient of Chinese beliefs of the Trinity is Heavens, Earth, and human, which can also be looked at as the Sun as father, Mother Earth, and us humans. Can we live without the energetic life from the Sun? No. Can we live without the support of our Mother Earth? No. And we have responsibilities to our fellow humans, as well, through our choices. I think I see constructive parallels to the Christian Trilogy. It could be said that we have all been produced by actions of the cosmos/heavens, and have not only been made 'in the image of God' (physical realm) [GOD] but also have the breath (spir/spiritual realm) [HOLY SPIRIT], which puts us squarely in the position of the offspring/human [JESUS]. Our responsibilities in that position are tremendous, but not for ourselves. We die, so that others may live. We love others, as we have been loved. We only live, so that we may bring life to others, in the manner of a bodhisattva. We don't worship Christ, we follow Christ, taking up our cross to follow him. The accounts of Jesus all reveal that he pointed to worshipping and praying to God, not himself.

This is completely ridiculous. When looking at subjects like this you must look at the word and practices held by those doing it. Jesus is the son of God and Gods word, This is Yahweh's word the biblical texts expressly says this and is aimed to fulfil the law given by the God of Abraham to allow people know him. Christ sacrifice was completely different in nature to the sacrifice prescribed to followers of Baal. In 1 major way 1 Christ was murdered and killed by us and the worlds sin highlighted by the fact that- it was Yahweh's sacrifice, not ours!!! Arguably Christians didn't put him on the cross. We say we all put him on the cross because of sin that originated in Adam. so we killed him however he came and died for us and was sent from God. 2 the original apostles of Christ didn't put him on the cross and were rebuked by Christ when trying to defend him against the Romans- christ saying that his fight wasn't on earth but in heaven, even calling Peter Satan for trying to stop Gods mission. I think this is incorrect as the whole point of Christianity is that it is GODS Sacrifice for us, not our sacrifice for him which of course if he wanted us to continue the Jewish sacrifice we would happily be killing goats and sheep instead. As a chrsitian, I see no compulsion to sacrifice human babies (also Christ was an adult when killed so) There is a major difference in this theologically. our practices also differ and throughout the Bible with verses found in kings and elsewhere rituals associated with Baal such as cutting yourself are not practised. Islam has closer links with the practices of Baal as does the secular worldview of religion and practices are done by non-believers the fact is Christians are to uphold the law of Yahweh so this creates a schism in your theology anyway especially as the laws of baal are not being followed or adhered to. so really christ cant be Baal if Christ is from Yahweh it is a simple as that. Also for Satan to create lies he must mimic the truth in some way as seen in Islam and other religions it is not surprising that pagan Gods have attributes put to them that mimic attributes of God. satan deceives by manipulating the word of God.

Wayne, you are not at 13:12 min quoting not from source material but from a man who was a theologian who studied under another theologian named Julius Wellhausen, who was not only an "Orientalist"(the study of Eastern cultures) but was the founder of the documentary hypothesis, which he used to attempt to break down the Torah text in an attempt to prove that they were a collection of multiple texts from multiple authors over much time. It consequently collapsed as a solid theory in like 1880... Basically to disprove the validity of the Bible as a genuine historical work. So, I do not need to read the book by Rudolph Smend to know his influences nor as I stated already is this book source material which is going to be in anyway able to prove your overall theme here, God bad, Baal good oh and they are brothers....
