Each installment of this series makes me think of those " children's bible stories " that were all ways in doctors office waiting rooms. I especially remember being weirded out by the child sacrifice story in the old testaments. I found it to be such a cruel and creepy. I don't know yet if you covert it in your series, I noticed that there are only two instance of the son of God in the Bible, the first is Adam, the second is Ba'al/Bel the son of El/Elohim. Bel is also associated to be the God of the Agrarian constellation which is now Aries. 4000 years ago Spring started under of The Great Bull constellation, some say the word Bull could come from Bel. Then, 2000 years later, due to the precession of the equinox Spring started under the agrarian worker Aries constellation, Aries came from Ares the God of war Greek version of Mars (month of March) God and planet of war, both son of Zeus (theos God) and Jupiter (Djiospater Zeuspater Skyfater). So calling Jesus the son of God was appealing to both Roman Greek and Ba'al worshippers which I think were mostly early Muslim.

This time frame is very important and you simplified it a bit much. Caesar gave the right of nobility to Josephus by granting him the name Flavian. Why would a Roman Caesar essentially knight a jewish scribe in a time that the Romans had just desolated Judea? The reason is Josephus was easential in converting those that may resist the new law, ie Christianity. The jesus story was loosely based on the son of king herod antipater II who was to be crowned as the first non Jewish king of Judea. He was the heir to the tin fortune and a Roman held in high esteem by the jews as well as the Samaritans. This all pivots around the tribulation of AD70 and the reformation of the area thereafter.

The difference between the Hebrew god, the god of Abraham, Issac and Jacob - and Ba'al (of the Bible) - is that the G-d of the Hebrews does NOT accept human and child sacrifice as offerings in accordance of appeasement to that deity. When bombs are placed upon a child or adult and their god's name chanted (Allah IS , ‘B’-All-ah) as directed by the Koran, then you are NOT praying to the god of the Hebrew bible. There are no fertility virgins awaiting those guilty of human/child sacrifice in heaven. These acts are defined in the Hebrew bible as an abomination. Child AND human sacrifice to a god was the pejorative term used repeatedly throughout scripture and correctly describes any practice whereby human life is somehow “offered up” to a god in trade for an action by that deity. Ba’al was the son of El, the chief god, and his sisters/consorts were Ashtoreth, a fertility goddess associated with the stars, and Anath, another goddess of fertility, love and war. He was worshiped as the sun god (the ‘ball in the sky’) and as the storm god-he is usually depicted holding a lightning bolt-it was he who defeated enemies and his sisters who produced crops. Consequently, they also worshiped him as a fertility god who provided fertile virgins, crops in the field, agronomy and animal husbandry. Ba’al worship was rooted in human sacrifice, war, fertility rites and consequently included ritualistic prostitution in the temples. At times, appeasing Ba’al required human sacrifice, often also including the death of the firstborn of the one making the sacrifice (Jeremiah 19:5). The priests of Ba’al appealed to their god in rites of wild abandon which included loud, ecstatic cries and self-inflicted injury and murderous actions against others, (1 Kings 18:28). All of these abominations were depicted as the antithesis to worship of the Hebrew G-d of the Jewish and Christian bible. This is why the worship of the Muslim god is pitted against that of the Hebrew. They are different AND opposing deities. They can SAY they are the same - but we know from their actions OF worship, that they are quite oppositional.
