Introducing Behringer MODEL-15.
The analogue synth with a ladder filter that everybody can afford to climb.
For those who are after the sound of our 55 series but are not quite ready to jump into the Eurorack world, then MODEL-15 is for you.
Housed in our familiar semi-modular format, MODEL-15 is an authentic recreation of the legendary system from the 1970’s.
With a pure analog signal path, MODEL-15 features dual oscillators with 4 waveforms, oscillator sync, pulse-width modulation and a sub-oscillator.
Also fitted with an advance step sequencer allowing for 3 separate, 256-step memory slots, key transpose and multiple playback modes. With the arpeggiator featuring a hold function and multiple playback modes.
MODEL-15 also delivers a spring reverb emulation, 48 carefully positioned patch points for advanced modular connectivity, integration with external equipment and 37 controls giving you real-time access to all important parameters and comprehensive MIDI implementation with MIDI channel and voice priority selection.
As soon as we receive the chips required to put this into production, MODEL-15 will ship immediately.
Estimated Price - $329 USD

Pretty good idea to release your System 55 sound in a desktop synth. Not everyone is into Modular and this Model 15 would be great for touring. Honestly, I really appreciate Behringer's dedication to semi-modular/modular design and poly chaining.

How does this compare with the Model-D? Just from looks alone, it looks like there is "less" there. Maybe you factor in the modular patching and the situation gets much better... but how do you think these two synths compare?
@Zinfidel1
@Zinfidel1 2 жыл бұрын
@@PerryCodes Personally, I prefer the sound and modular format of the 55 Series. It's raw and exploratory. On the other hand, the Model B is a good "standard" East Coast synth. It's easy to dial-in sounds. Keyboardists can set-up patches quickly. I had a Model B and it sounds pleasant. Model 15 is between the two. Both desktop synths offer different vintage moog flavors. Both sound excellent.

Moog has been missing in my studios since I began playing keys in 1967. I have never seen one, much less played one. I am a tradesman and solo pianist who began synth orchestrations as a hobby in the 1980s. Could not justify the high costs of Moog for a monosynth. Now maybe for the first time can have Moog musical sounding oscillators/filter in the studio.

I am the proud owner of a Moog Grandmother which bares a striking similarity to the 'Model-15' (a complete coincidence, of course ;) ) and I'm stupidly happy about what Behringer's doing.
