Also of note, If you leave the bottle in the base, it allows you to get down to the last of the ink since the bottom slops down to a point in that set up.

i agree with everything you said in this video. if i had a pen worth 300+, or i was alot better at calligraphy than i am now i wouldn't flinch at the price of this ink. Until i get more skills nailed down ill stick to the shaeffer and parker ink, or noodlers for my ahab and i think alot of people will feel the same about saving this kind ink for a writing experience to match the inks value.

Cost issues? For me it would depend on how long 50 ml (a little more than 1.5 oz.) would last. If you think 35.00 is a lot, just try a boat maintenance project! I can go into a store and spend that much before I blinked twice, then use up what I spent in a day. However, the quality is an issue-- if the ink is no better quality than that in a cartridge you could buy at a drugstore or office supply, then it wouldn't be worth it since I currently live on a bluewater sailboat and could not safely display it regardless. Still, I might give one of them a go when my Ecridor Chevron arrives.

As I also collect men’s fragrances, I’d have to agree $35.00 is nothing I could easily buy these without a second thought based solely on the fancy bottle

Purchased a bottle in DC (More expensive than Brian sells) as I needed something quick for a presentation ceremony (Orange was requested). The Electric Orange is actually a very nice color coming out of the pen. Looks a bit more intense in person than what I'm seeing on the screen (but that could be my monitor or settings I know). I will likely pick up more of this line from Brian for other projects. Is it rather expensive? Yes. But so is a Corvette when compared to a Camaro and they do basically the same job too.

Hello, I'm looking for a medium-light desaturated gray ink color to use for my everyday griting (love the muted light colors) and I found the infinite gray almost the perfect color for me. But I was wondering if there is another one similarto that a little cheaper? I was looking in your site but there are an overwhelming quantity and for some reason this infinite gray (even when I see it desaturated gray) is on the purples on your site. Thank you in advance, great site - videos

+Cristófano Varacolaci J. Herbin Gris Nuage (www.gouletpens.com/jherbin-gris-nuage-30ml-bottled-fountain-pen-ink/p/H130-08) is probably the best choice for a cheaper, lighter grey. You could also order some grey ink samples to test out a variety and keep costs down. - Colin

Thank you very much Colin. The samples may not work for me since I live in mexico and shipping costs would kill the point of samples. But I may order 1 of this and one of the carand'ache one since I really really like the way the color looks in the sample photo. Thank you very much again.

+Cristófano Varacolaci this might be a bit too late, but if you wanted to get a sample, do it in a big purchase, when you have something to add onto, so it's more economical, for example when your buying a few ink bottles or pens

I've got the Organic Brown, and have had it for a while now. I use it with my Lamy 2000 with a fine nib. In my opinion it's very watery, but then again I suck at writing and it might be just me pressing the pen to hard...am I the only one who thinks this ink is very wet and watery?

This ink is just for fountain pens right? They can't be use for pen nibs or quills. Just making sure before I jump in to get one to try.
@Gouletpens6 жыл бұрын
It's intended for fountain pen use. I don't think it'd cause much harm to dip nibs or quills, but those are usually needing a thicker ink to stay on it while writing. FP ink being water based usually doesn't. - Colin

What inks do you recomend for vintage fountain pens (vacumatics and ink sacs)
@Gouletpens10 жыл бұрын
Conventional stuff is probably ideal. I mean, use whatever you want, but the range of variation you could be talking about with 'vintage' is too broad for me to say anything specific. Generally speaking, inks made by pen companies (Waterman, Pelikan, etc) are more conventional and diluted, and 'safer' to use. -Brian Goulet
