Thanks for the reviews you do. No reason to fret about lighting, glare on your glasses, carpet in your basement, spot where your cat or dog likes to go pee pee etc. The people complaining are the ones who have a problem, not you. The substance of your reviews is what matters to most of us who care about the pens you review and your opinion. Same goes for Stephen. Keep doing what you guys do for the pen community.

Just to help you a little with the comments about the reflection of light in your glasses, may I suggest (as this is my profession) that you just play around with the placement of your light, maybe just off to the side and slightly higher. It's just a simple process that may help you keep these viewers happy :-). Keep up the great reviews, good job

Caran d'Ache is obviously not as hyped as some other brands on KZbin, but your unboxing video shows we might pay a bit more attention to them. This seems like a lovely pen of high quality.

Unfortunately converter can stop to work. For such price a piston filler is mandatory! Shape of cap is ugly😢

Azizah, I come here for the pens / reviews if the light is reflecting off the glasses that is the least I am worried about. As another poster mentioned it is "their" problem not yours! Keep up the fun reviews (wherever you do them) the content is so much more important👍👍👍

Personally, I think that pen is pretty generic and unexciting looking for $900. Compared to my Visconti Divina Elegance which retails for the same, a Pelikan M1000, or even a similarly basic looking Mont Blanc 149?

You may find the Caran d'Ache generic, but it writes beautifullly, as we can see. My Divina (with a palladium nib) does not. Sure the Divina might be prettier in some respects, but I cannot use it even as a door stop. What matters most to me is if it writes and writes well.

@@janepilecki8083 You could probably say this for any pen, but with a simple ship out to Mark Bacas and $35, my Divina is the best writer in my collection. Considering I got mine used for $600, I was expecting potential issues, but it was similarly pretty useless when I got it. But still, does it write any better than an M1000, Mont Blanc 149, or any of those recent 100th anniversary Aurora pens for example. I dunno, this still just looks like a $50 Conklin Herringbone to me, lol. For $900 I just expect either more flash, or special materials. I also really expect a non-cartridge converter pen. Anyway, I highly suggest sending yours in to a nibmeister as well if you want to keep it. It's worth it.

Over $200 you are not paying more because it writes better. You are paying more for swirly plastic, lacquer, precious metals, or prestige. And that's what you get.

I'm not sure if theyre far off the mark with this price. I compare this pen to its montblanc counterpart, the meisterstuck solitaire 145 blue hour. That pen is around the same price, and I would say they're rather in the same league. Of course, if you believe MB itself is deluded in its pricing, then I must concur with you!
