I hope so! And I may be in the minority here but I really hope that such a device would include an eARC input. It’s very important to me to be able to plug a tv into it and right now I’m leaning toward the Eversolo A8 for that hdmi functionality even though I think the sound won’t be as good. I want the best of both worlds and hope Denafrips delivers!

Alvin, I swear that you don't age! This is a really nice update. I have to say, though, it's a shame other DACs like Venus don't have the word clock output feature. The only thing I can see that's missing from Arcas is a SFTP cage for fibre ethernet. I presume that'll be one of the features on the flagship streamer?

I got the Arce and it is better than the Wiim but i hope they continue software updates and not abandon the Arce now that they have a newer model. Would love Tidal connect. Thanks.

If the Streaming services are coming...i will purchase a streamer of denafrips. I dont have roon and dont wanne have it. I got a Vemus 2 12th and the latest purchase was the Hermes 12th ddc. The Hermes is realy good and liftet up the performance of the Venus👍 Streamer is a volumio rivo with the LHY LPS25 No USB out...that means my hermes is useless...aaahh noo😭😭

The hardware looks great but if it won't stream Tidal or Qubuz and allow Tidal connect it will never succeed in my opinion.

Very happy with my Aries G2, so not in the market at present, but I rather like the idea of a high quality streamer optimised for Roon without unnecessary features like screens. The Aries has a screen but I never use it, as I control music with a nice big Galaxy tab. Touchscreens are a waste unless on a desktop product and potentially introduce noise. I do wish I had I2S on my streamer as opposed to the proprietary hdmi connection. I would certainly use that to connect my Terminator Plus. I wish you success and look forward to the flagship when it comes. Also, I haven't taken the plunge on a DDC, so the idea of the DDC built in is a very attractive one. PS is that a new Kinki amp to your right, Alvin? It looks bigger than my Ex-M1?

Although I love the Denafrips sound - including from my Arce streamer - I would have liked a stable firmware for Arce streamer to have have had priority over a new device with same (?) streaming board and same (?) issue’s?

Greetings from Toronto ☕️ I’m loving the Ares 12-1 ..as for steaming I’m running a Wiim Pro ..it’s pretty damn good (Amazon Music HD ) over wifi …as my wife won’t let me run cables throughout the house …wich is possibly a good thing 🤣 Nice to see something for future 🫡

In order to get the benefit from the built-in DDC, do I have to use the I2S output? What happens if I use the USB output?

Alvin…I am confused by the specs on the product page of the Arcas Streamer 😵‍💫. If I am using Roon, is the I²S output of The Arcas limited to 16/44 when streaming Qobuz? I am currently using a Volumio Rivo/LHY LPS50VA/LHY SW-8, running ROON via USB into Pontus II. I am quite pleased with this set-up! 😀 Can you tell me how sound quality may compare with my current set-up to the Arcas? THANKS.

Popular stream services support is a deal breaker. Also I expect to sync via apple or android interface for using it, like Eversolo.
