Jessica - one reason for Pinoy food being salty is because the country is hot. Salt is used to preserve food since the old days and sugar too. People also sweat a lot in tropical climates. The saltiness of the food serves also to prevent dehydration because of the higher electrolyte content of the food. This also applies to why sugar is added to food...just like why you drink Gatorade or coconut water when exercising and sweating a lt or had diarrhea and vomiting...otherwise a lot of people will be passing out from dehydration. I've read about PBA import players who are new to the Philippines who pass out after practice or get dehydrated because of the heat and maybe not used to eating our food...

sauce is life.especially sa fries.walang kapalit ang mayo ng jollibee.i don't know if its true,pero napanood ko before sa discovery na ang jollibee lang ang nakatalo sa mcdo at kfc sa iba't-ibang bansa na nag e-expand ang mga american brands.kc sikreto raw ng jollibee ay sinasabayan nila ang quality ng mga ito katulad sa customer service at sa mga paglagay ng maayos na facilities and signages.at sila pa ang nakakabili ng ilang lokal restaurants and fastfoods dito sa pinas katulad ng mang inasal (kaya hindi na gaanong masarap at hindi na gaanong tustado) at greenwich ( na isa ring us brand) at maging sa vietnam and china.though,pag nakita lang kita busog na ako.😍😍😍

Great video Jessica! I’m anxious to try Jollibee for myself. Jollibee reaction videos are fun to watch how differently individuals respond. Chaebin is excited to try new tastes and shows her pleasure easily. Jin is more analytical and tries to reconstruct the items in his mind and recognizes the business model in place. Jessica as always is the enthusiastic tour guide/host and consummate professional. It takes me about 3 times to digest the videos of this trio of compadres. 1st I pause every time dialogue pops up to get the convo. Often I open the translator to learn a new Tagalog phrase. 2nd I watch to take in their reactions and emotions. 3rd I watch to enjoy your friendship. Jessica you are a master at editing all of the text. It is so thoughtful to make sure that all can enjoy and comprehend what is happening.

I think the reason why Pinoys love Jollibee and why OFWs want Jollibee abroad is the way it has been marketed to us way, way before (aside from the price and the delicious yummy yummy foods). Jollibee's marketing strategy is highlighting families eating together, children eating deliciously, and children enjoying inside the premises (Jollibee parties with Jollibee mascot, or the mini playground inside... sorry, I forgot the term for that). For Pinoys growing up, Jollibee is synonymous with family, delicious food, and happy childhood memories. It is imprinted in the psyche of every Filipino. That is why there are a lot of Jollibee everywhere you go, and OFWs long for Jollibee because it reminds them of home.

i think the reason for the bread of the peach mango pie to be thick is because its not eaten as a dessert its more something you can eat on the go like in a train .i remember the ads for peach mango train was it always being by itself no other foods in the ad and they always have it on a train or a bus so it is a to go food like a snack not a dessert

Woooow amazing how others perceive Pinoy food as intense or something out of this world when simply the menu says chicken or spaghetti. These are not even categorized as Filipino food but western. Probably the combination like eating chicken, rice, and spaghetti in one meal. Something you wouldn't expect to go together but makes sense after all.
