Introducing My Blog & Business Bullet Journal

I'm currently going through your videos one by one after having found your blog a while ago, which inspired me to make my own Bullet Journal. It's gone through so many changes already (also because of the perfectionism I'm working on) and I actually made a separate planner for my future/being-prepared-for business, but I wasn't exactly sure how to do it for that one. This video gave me a lot of inspiration and motivation to get started on it again and make it what I want it to be. I also like the idea of ideas in a separate little notebook. It also made me realize that I don't need to outline all my ideas, because I might end up not using them in the end. Thanks so much for your shares and help!

I have several of these books that I bought a while ago. I found them too nice for my daily notes and they have been sitting in a box waiting for a special occasion. I am blown away. I watch a lot of planner videos but they're usually not a great fit for me and the way I work but this is incredible. It hits so many high notes for me - like the postits on the blog editorial page. And the Blog index at the start. My only issue is I literally can't draw a straight line. I kept a separate business journal for the second half of 2016 and now that it's getting closer to the new year I'm wondering if I should keep the business journal separate or incorporate into my daily bujo. +Alejandra Martinez I think the biggest key is to start SIMPLE. Start by watching the video over at www.bulletjournal.com and then head over to Kim's post: www.tinyrayofsunshine.com/2016/01/introduction-to-bullet-journal.html Those should get you started with the basics and then you can add or subtract things based on what you need/what works for you. :)

Thanks for the walk through. Why wouldn't you put your ideas in your regular bullet journal? Isn't it flexible enough that it can support multiple projects without having to carry additional notebooks for them?

So i'm pretty new to Bullet Journalling and am still really finding my feet with the set up. I've currently got a, A5 Purple dot L.....journal but I'm really struggling to connect with the set up, spreads etc. At the moment i've only got one double page spread that I really love. However, having watched your video i'm loving the idea of an A4 journal to have a bit more room and a bit more space. What would you do? Keep going with the current one or splurge on a new A4 one and relegate the current journal to 'draft' or 'planning????

I would suggest that you take a regular piece of A4 paper and try bullet journaling on that piece of paper for some time. It you like then you could compare the both of them by making a pros and cons list. Then you choose by comparing the pros and cons. I hope this helps! :)

Thanks Sanila for the suggestion. I did two spider diagrams in my current Bullet Journal last night comparing the pros and cons of my current set ups. It came across mostly that I am feeling a bit squashed and restrained by the current style, which is why I wonder if A4 might give me a bit more freedom. I've been using A4 at work recently for an adapted version of Bullet Journalling and feeling much more freedom so wonder if that is an influence too!

+Kate McCormack I definitely agree with the other suggestion here. Test it out on an A4 size and see how you feel about the space. One thing with the A4 is that it is really not portable. I love that I can throw my A5 into my purse when I run out for errands. That A4 on the other hand might as well be glued to my desk... it's HUGE :)

Could you give some tips about repurposing books, especially if a lot of pages have been used? I have so many notebooks and I want to use them because I don't have a huge budget. I'm ordering some new notebooks, so it could even be temporary. I know you'd said before that you practiced in another notebook, maybe that could work? LOL, answered my own question I guess. I also can't seem to get my ruler to give me the perfect lines you have...jealous! Love the videos, keep it up :D

+Jessie Haynes Ha! You stole the words out of my mouth! If I leave a notebook before it is full, I would use it to practice handwriting, doodles, different layouts, etc. I don't believe in being wasteful and I hate the idea of blank pages sitting there unused :)
