Mah man John keeps spreading the Fox God love. Freaking love this song too, it's among my top favorite BM. This is my favorite video to show friends who have problems seeing Babymetal as anything other than a gimmick. Not my favorite Babymetal song, but I'm a fan of prog so Tales of the Destinies will forever be in that slot, just like Frame by Frame has forever been in my top most influential songs of my life list. The intro is a 7/8 and 8/8 (first time is 7/8 second is 8/8.) And time signature in sing part is 6/8

I love Babymetal, and for so many reasons. Obviously the songs, and Su-metal's vocals - that's a given. The girls' costumes and choreos. The Kami Band - I swear that Japan has the best and most talented session musicians in the world. I love the guys' costumes and make-up too, which just gives that air of mystery to every performance. The lore behind Babymetal. The genius that paired 3 very young teenage girls, with heavy metal musicians, old enough to be their fathers, and knew that it would be a perfect marriage. The fact that the vast majority of their audience is mainly guys, who obviously worship the ground the girls walk on. And the power that 3 teenage girls, (now young women), had and still have over the audience, always amazes me. Without words, they can control tens of thousands of men to interact with them with just a simple hand signal. It's a combination that creates one hell of a performance... every single time. This is definitely one of my top 3 Babymetal songs, and my number one favourite performance. I love that Kami Band got to shine with their solos at the beginning.

Have your friend listen to Led Zeppelin Immigrant song, then Guns n Roses welcome to the jungle, then Judas Priest painkiller. Then if they enjoy those tell them they can no longer complain about high pitch voices, and if they have an issue then its not the sound, its their own biases.

@@PrvtGeek You're right, but it's not because of the high pitch, but because it sounds poppy, and also at least in their first albums, the girls sing with their 12-14-year-old voice, it's normal. And it is also a very big cultural shock. When I heard them the first time, I thought the same thing: Incredible metal, but the voices pull me back. Too many years passed before I realized my mistake, and probably because of my own prejudices and my closed mind. There isn't a day that I don't regret not giving them another chance a long time ago, and I literally have no one to blame but myself. It's frustrating to see people around you make the same mistake as you, but you have to be patient, and do it gradually. It is not an easy task. I feel surrounded on an island where all my friends and family love music, but I can't find a way to make them understand what they're missing.

The first guitarist is a fill in member. Leda Cygnus. He would sub in when Mikio was not avail. If you want to hear Mikio's solo for this song check out the 2015 Yokohama version. Probably one of his finest solo's.

I think Leda was playing in the Kami Band even before Mikio (happy to be corrected if I got that wrong). Leda, Mikio and Takayoshi were the regulars who would swap in and out for each other depending on their availability and if two of them weren't available there would be other (eg ISAO) who would step in. I have to agree about Mikio's solo at Yokohama.🎸

@@Grington300 Leda was performing with the Kami Band since LEGEND Z (February 1st, 2013). Mikio's first BABYMETAL show was at INAZUMA ROCK FES. 2013 - Day 2 (September 22nd, 2013). Leda did a lot of shows in 2014 and 2017.

They are all good in their own way but the eastern kamis also got to shine a lot more unlike western kamis who only have like 2 short intros

@@KrPa9781 Eastern Kamis didn't really get that much more time to shine. The west kamis have their intros before Metali and Kagerou and most of the east kami solos were before Catch me if you can or Rondo (yes I know east kamis have done solos before some other songs aswell but those really weren't something that happened regularly). Only thing holding the west kamis from shining as bright as the east kamis is the damn masks.

@@Tyyppl Yes, but there was also times where they were in the front of the stage and like you said performed epic solos (akatsuki, amore) and the west kamis are from the very beginning always far in the back or on the sides and the camera is almost never focused on them unless they perform an intro which is rare or a quick shot for a sec or two.. it sucks bcs i think they are really talented and if given the opportunity they would show a lot more.

@@KrPa9781 Yeah all of that is true for the big shows in Japan. Luckily when they tour Europe and the US the stages are quite a bit smaller so the kamis are pretty close to the girls and the audience and not tucked away in a corner:D
