Even if it is possible to own a sloth in Florida, please don’t do it. These timid little animals get stressed out so easily, especially around human contact. and their native habitat is the best place for them. They do not show outward signs of stress and one of them is being very still or looking though they are falling asleep. If you truly want a chance to interact with sloth consider volunteering at a rescue facility that deals with orphaned or injured sloths.

They know what they're doing, Orlin is a licensed vet, Niks said that before. They know what they are supposed to be doing. That's why it takes so long to get a sloth, because the rescuers prepare the new owners and make sure they're going to treat the animal properly. Why are people so judgemental? Sloths eat all day, they need a lot of low calorie food the majority of the time otherwise they will gain too much weight since they barely move. He's feeding the sloth fine, he's said lettuce is a snack!
